Who’s worse ?

They are all bad. Kiffin hurt us the most but Nico left purely for the money which is bad. Then, Henry T went to our biggest rival. I will say Kiffin because he convinced a bunch of players he recruited to transfer because he was going to USC. He was also the head coach and left in the middle of the night. It hurt our program the most.

I'm not even mad about Nico, With Henry I was furious because I actually liked the kid and for him to go to Alabama of all teams just set me off....Us beating him in 2022 was pure justice!..Kiffin left for his dream job so I can't get completely mad at him for that even tho he has been a total douche since then with all the trolling and stuff.

Maybe time heals all wounds, but in retrospect I do believe Lane when he said USC was the one job in the country he would've left Tennessee for. It was probably a top 3 job nationally when Carroll left (before we knew about the NCAA hammer being dropped on them)

As far as damage done to the program it was Kiffin, the weasel.

As far as a slap in the face, To’oTo’o. Going to Alabama.

As far as sheer stupidity loss, That goes to Nico a $500K QB asking for $4 Mill.

I am not displeased with losing Nico. I never understood why he was so highly rated. His high school team did not win a championship and the games they have on the internet did not show a what I think of as a 5 star player or the #1 player in America. In the 2 years he played here he never got rid of the happy feet. His only saving grace was his ability to run and our running backs.

All 3 are insignificant and had much less impact than we give them credit for having. Lane was 7-6 and got embarrassed in his bowl. Henry T was on the wrong side when Hendon and team smoked Bamas defense. Nico was basically a game manager. As CJH said ‘ no one person is bigger than the power T. I wish all three the best of luck but there impact is negligible when looking at the history of our program.

Kiffin is sub-human garbage. He not only left, he had his pet ogre setting fire to the program on the way out the door. Pi$$ on that guy.

Henry T. was crap too.

Nico was (is) just a symptom of a larger issue.

I really don’t think Nico is a bad kid and I get he’s honoring his father’s wishes which means a lot in his culture and family. His father is the real villain in this situation and Tennessee and Nico are both big losers.

Tennessee loses because they aren’t going to be able to find as capable of a Quarterback in the transfer portal without spending millions more than they were paying Nico already. Getting a QB out of the portal is always a risky proposition anyway.

Nico becomes black balled because of this incident and will most likely end up playing somewhere for less money than he wants or even less money than UT was originally paying him.

It depends. If we do get confirmation that Nico threatened to sit out the Ohio State CFP game as leverage for more NIL money? That's as low as you can go in my opinion. It's a disgrace.
Just read an article on another site that Austin Price said he has not been able to confirm that rumor as true and he has good inside connections.

If that is true, if he actually did that, I would have told him to clean out his locker on the spot, withheld his next NIL payment, and maybe sued him for breach of contract.

Nico or should I say Nic

Everybody knew what Lane's dream job was and if it came open he was going to take it.

Henry finished his season and left, don't like where he went but he did his time and moved on

Nico could've left after the playoff and gave TN a chance to find another QB to come in during that time, but chose to stay, take all the spring starting reps and then the day before the O&W chose to hold out and try to hold the program hostage.

I hated to see Lane go. He had the sports world talking about Tennessee football in January... in a good way. The other two can't get out of town and stay far enough away from Knoxville to ever make me happy.

I mean Kiffin hurt the program the most. Nico was definitely the worst as far as being deliberately planned and timed to exploit Tennessee though and I don’t think either of the others are close.

Lane left us in the worst position by far because he wrecked the program recruiting low character recruits who also quickly bailed as soon as he left. His tactics also caused an AA' investigation that hamstrung UT for a several years. Not to mention it lead to one of the worst coaching hires of all time at a P5 school in Derek Doolander. While that hire wasn't his fault, it probably doesn't happen if he doesnt bolt so he gets a small share of the blame.

Lane by a country mile. He left at the worst time for us and set us on a downward spiral that we only recently clawed back out of.

I do not blame To'oTo'o as he was forced to transfer and pursued the best opportunity he could. I hate he went to Bama but you cannot deny the NFL pipeline from there under Saban.

The Nico situation is sad but I do not blame him. He is a kid who has an overbearing father and crappy agent. I wish him the best but hope his father realizes how much he has effected his son in the media. The kid is getting hammered over his father's issues.
