Who’s watching the Savannah Bananas at Neyland Stadium?

That is a lot more than they offered a former UT player that I know 2 years ago. It did not include any benefits and they had to provide own housing. But they have grown since then. I'm not sure he would have done it anyways because I don't think they would let them pitch competitively. I believe after watching it several times they tell the pitchers they have to let them hit. Can you imagine how bad it would be if you went to watch it and both pitchers threw no-hitters?
Yeah, the growth has been insane. It's only the last two years they have started playing the mega venues.

"Banana Ball players make $100K in average salary, the club has revealed 🍌 ," FOS reported.

"The Savannah Bananas were already on a growth wave, and a first-of-its-kind report from the team details how big. In 2025, the club sold 2.2M tickets to 113 shows (what the club calls games), averaged 500K viewers on TV, and sold 1.9M items of merch."

and they added two new teams this year
Maybe pay has gotten to that level in two years; I don’t know. I’m passing along what someone who once worked for us said as he was going to play for Jesse. And I agree with what @Preacherman said about housing.

They have undoubtedly sold lots of tickets, but I don’t believe those numbers as they aren’t verifiable. When they were in our league, they always announced capacity crowds, but with what I saw with my own eyes, they weren’t capacity. It’s the hype that they keep going that drives sales, and they do it well.

The fact that they are consistently selling out 50-100k seat stadiums isn't debatable.

yeah, the Kyle Field and Neyland Stadium crowds were just AI on television. Clearly the seats were empty.

Pretty sure my own two eyes can verify the attendance at Neyland since I was there. But keep being a hater.

Not related to the topic, but may I offer kudos for your avi. I may have done so in a previous life, but Don Knott's was great and The Ghost and Mr Chicken makes me giggle even today. Still remember when it hit the theaters.

I'm going to clue you in on a secret that will serve you well your entire life: Words mean things. Those words you typed up there? Yeah, they mean you don't believe the ticket sales.

Thanks! I'm glad there are still people who get it.

One of my all-time favorite movies as a kid.

Feels rigged.

Is it rigged?

Was Harlem Globetrotters rigged or did the Washington Generals just lose every game for 47 years?

Talentless players? Lets see you make the plays they make. I doubt you had many spare brain cells to lose.
Made a few plays in my time....... probably much like the players on those teams. Gave up organized sports after injuries during football.
Braincells have nothing to do with talent or abilities but I do have enough not to follow the bright shiny objects that get flashed about now a days.
I'm just glad these Uber talented players took time away from their MLB, NBA, MLS..... blah blah blah to come and grace the viewers with their presence.

Thanks for taking your valuable time to come ridicule the opinions of others and the people for giving them..... all while giving yours, enjoy the rest of your day

Well my boys had fun even if it wasn’t my speed so chill the hell out.View attachment 833871
Glad your little guy had fun, good job cherishing your time with him, but please also share with him the concept that he doesn't always have to follow the bright shiny bouncing ball.
Doesn't change my opinion, or those just like it that others have shared, neither are right or wrong... just that they are shared

I'm guessing you have a personal connection to a player or the organization. You are real defensive of a team that is for show, in their words not mine.
No personal connection at all. But I took my sons and dad to the game at Neyland and we all had a blast. The comment I was replying to called the players "talentless" yet they are making six figures playing the game and doing things physically most of us never could. They also claimed the ticket sales numbers aren't verifiable and I pointed out that my own two eyes verified a full Neyland on Saturday. If someone doesn't like the Bananas that's fine. I get it's not everyone's cup of tea, but to insult the players and accuse the organization of lying about ticket sales is ridiculous. I'm a bit shocked a preacher would be defending that type of hateful behavior.
