Who’s going to Fayetteville?

My son and I will be there. Looking forward to seeing the Vols in action. This will be our first TN road game.

For those that have been to Fayetteville before, what’s there to do around the stadium? Any must sees or good places to eat?
Kudos for your going to support the Vols! Never been to Fayetteville, but here's a dining suggestion:

I went once with my then 8 year old son. I will never set foot on that ground again!

Arkansas is like WV to me.

It's a 5 hour drive to Fayetteville TN, and a 13 hour drive to Ftville Arkansas. If we want a Fayetteville we have closer options.

Fwiw, I get enough WV in my diet, so, for that reason, i'm out.

I drove to Fayetteville once many years ago, but I wound up in North Carolina.
Obviously took a wrong turn somewhere. That was before GPS.

Not surprising because before GPS in Summer 1999 my family with my dad driving drove to Chicago for the Summer Chicago family vacation except he drove past Chicago into Milwaukee which most of us realized this is Milwaukee not Chicago so he was able to drive back to Chicago.

So it was a minor setback.
My family went to Chicago mainly to see the Women’s US team play which was when the great women’s soccer player Mia Hamm was playing.

Shirley is all digital maps these days. I still prefer Rand McNally road maps. Ole gal laughed at me? Yeah, until we hit an area with no cell reception (yeah, there are spots where it happens), and ole Rand saved the day. Along with my memory of my frequent cross-country driving trips in days of yore. McNally, you're still my guy! One day, when a catastrophe (solar storm or whatever) EMP or otherwise kills reception, people will figure out why we were given brains to begin with. I still hang onto my Sweden made 1970s era compass as well, which is probably silly, but....

Same, got a Rand McNally 2023 in my preppers kit.......absolutely believe it'll come in handy, unfortunately I fear it'll be needed sooner than we think.

Woodsman you sound like my wife always wants one in the car. My BIL and SIL are yuppie dinks who won’t use a Rand McNally because it isn’t a gazetteer. Presumptuous pricks.

I pity the techno addicts. The old-fashioned Rands didn't run out of battery juice, lose reception, or break when dropped.

I have been to Fayetteville twice and Little Rock once. The Arkansas fans in Little Rock are tremendous. They are wonderful people. The fans in Fayetteville are some of the most despicable people I have ever encountered. It is a decent stadium. No really significant good food in the area. I would never go again.
