Dare you to find something not great by Pink!

She is so underrated.

I'm a fan of hating on covers, there aren't many I like and only one I can think of that's better than the original, which is obviously Hendrix' cover of All along the watchtower.

Evidently Halestorm is a pretty popular cover band that I just ran across and the chick that sings, Lizzy Hale is pretty damn good IMO. Listened to this one not long ago and really like it.

Well, I don't know about all that and don't really care either, but she does a pretty good White Rabbit and Bobby McGee.

Oh, and kiss my butt for causing me to feel like I'm agreeing with Neo.

Don’t know much about her personal life, don’t much care. But she’s one of the best pure vocalists of a generation. Incredible.

I Icared more than I thought. I knew nothing about her except she did a cover of White Rabbit and Bobby McGee and was a pop singer. I was curious why @happy-go_vol said she was not just a skank, but 10 to the 30th power, whatever that means.

So, I read her Wikipedia. Obviously that doesn't have everything, but it had a lot and I saw nothing at all that would even hint that she is a skank. In fact, after reading about all of her accomplishments and the People Magazine cover story of April of 2018.....I would argue she is the opposite.

Its my opinion, just from different stuff ive seen from her. I'm not discounting her ability, i just think she's a butch skank.

I am curious now also. I have always thought that she was one of the classier ones in the entertainment field.
What have you seen that makes you think she is a butch shank?

I always thought Wide Spread Panic’s cover of ‘Traveling Light’ by JJ Cale surpassed the original. Same goes for Skynard’s cover of Call me the Breeze, also by Cale.

Black Crowe’s Hard to Handle was a worthy cover.
Pearl Jam’s “Last Kiss” is an exceptional cover.
Soft Cell’s, “Tainted Love” as a cover. I bet 99% didn’t know that.

Joan Jett’s, “I love Rockin Roll” was also a cover.

A song that I cover, is “What’s so Funny ‘bout Peace, Love and Understanding.” I played it for years without realizing Elvis Costello didn’t write it.

I bet there are a bunch you like and aren’t aware they are even covers.

Some of those Im not familiar with. I forgot about Call me the breeze and I agree. I never heard the original I love rock and roll so I just never consider it. Funny you mention it because the dude that co wrote it died of the virus recently.

Probably is some stuff that's covers that I didn't know were and probably a bunc you'd be surprised I'd never even heard of...like Wide Spread Panic, I know nothing about them. Same with Pearl Jam, I couldn't name one song by them.

There are some other covers I do like, just not as much as the original. I like Aerosmith version of Come together, but I like Gary Clark Jr version better. I hate Metallica's cover of Turn the Page.

Anyway, when I said I enjoyed hating on covers I just meant I enjoy hating on ones I don't like. Lol.
