I Icared more than I thought. I knew nothing about her except she did a cover of White Rabbit and Bobby McGee and was a pop singer. I was curious why @happy-go_vol said she was not just a skank, but 10 to the 30th power, whatever that means.Join me and we can rule the nation as father and someone else's son.

So, I read her Wikipedia. Obviously that doesn't have everything, but it had a lot and I saw nothing at all that would even hint that she is a skank. In fact, after reading about all of her accomplishments and the People Magazine cover story of April of 2018.....I would argue she is the opposite.
I am curious now also. I have always thought that she was one of the classier ones in the entertainment field. Its my opinion, just from different stuff ive seen from her. I'm not discounting her ability, i just think she's a butch skank.
I'm a fan of hating on covers, there aren't many I like and only one I can think of that's better than the original, which is obviously Hendrix' cover of All along the watchtower.
Evidently Halestorm is a pretty popular cover band that I just ran across and the chick that sings, Lizzy Hale is pretty damn good IMO. Listened to this one not long ago and really like it.
Some of those Im not familiar with. I forgot about Call me the breeze and I agree. I never heard the original I love rock and roll so I just never consider it. Funny you mention it because the dude that co wrote it died of the virus recently.I always thought Wide Spread Panic’s cover of ‘Traveling Light’ by JJ Cale surpassed the original. Same goes for Skynard’s cover of Call me the Breeze, also by Cale.
Black Crowe’s Hard to Handle was a worthy cover.
Pearl Jam’s “Last Kiss” is an exceptional cover.
Soft Cell’s, “Tainted Love” as a cover. I bet 99% didn’t know that.
Joan Jett’s, “I love Rockin Roll” was also a cover.
A song that I cover, is “What’s so Funny ‘bout Peace, Love and Understanding.” I played it for years without realizing Elvis Costello didn’t write it.
I bet there are a bunch you like and aren’t aware they are even covers.
