I binged S1 a few weeks ago. I knew it got a lot of Emmy love and buzz but I still wasn't expecting much but ended up really liking it.

They gonna have a bunch sex scenes? Those type shows normally increase those scenes in the following seasons

Just finished both seasons. Really enjoyed it. I saw where Season 3 is supposed to be set in Thailand. I can’t even imagine. I’m just glad season 3 will be different from seasons 1 and 2 in a certain way. That’s all I’m going to say.

Just finished ep 4 of the new season. This is like the first 2 seasons on steroids, but definitely a different vibe. Like watching an Amtrack nearing a napalm truck crossing...

Episode 5 is probably the most insane one of the season. You’ll know exactly why i posted this gif after you watch the next episode

How hard would that scene have been to act out with a straight face? I would bet it took quite a few takes...
I can’t even fathom how you see that on paper and then know that you’re going to have to prep for it, rehearse it and some how get through it . Or even crazier, Mike White said “here’s the outline, go ahead and just ad lib whatever comes to you.”

Let us know when you finish. I definitely had opinions on the ending.
Finished tonight. It was OK...

I thought Lochlan dying would have been the poignant end to the "riches or bust" storyline. The innocent falls as victim to the game. Didn't happen.

The spoiled brats story never really came to fruition. They just go home and continue ad nauseum?

The tragic line of Gaitok is complete...violence and passion has ruined him

Belinda and son are set up to star in the next series

The future of the Ratliff family... who knows?

Rick... well, it ended as I suspected. His old party bud, back on the wagon.

Entertaining, but a bit of a let down at the end.

Kind of where I was too with it. Weird mix of “loose ends” and happy endings, neither of which suit the show very well.

Even the Ratliff family ended on a “We’ll get through this together as a family” kind of note.

I prefer more realistic and almost gut punching endings, like in Season 1 when Alexandra Daddario’s character decides to stay with her D-bag husband. It was a bad decision, not a happy ending, she knew it, but she did it anyways. That’s real life and happens every day.

Side note: I’m not as classy as you, I’m not using spoiler tags because it’s been long enough lol

Belinda got a happy ending*. IDK who else did.

The fancies made up. I guess that's a happy ending?...but it's a lot like the Daddario ending in a relationship with warts, too.

The Ratliffs went home to face financial destruction. Tim not killing his family I guess is the happy ending? It's happy in the sense that he has turned over a new leaf.

Gaitok sacrificed his morals to get status and the girl, but it didn't seem like a happy ending to me. At least, he wasn't smiling.

And then Rick and Chelsea died.

Most of these are small, believable wins. However, this season wasn't very tight with the writing, I agree.

*I heard Mike White brought her back and wrote her win into the story because fans were so upset about how she got screwed in season 1.

I am shocked you made it past the first episode because this show is good.
Lol. It's trash. First season showed promise but, the body on the plane was a disappointing surprise. It went down hill from there. I mean if that last 10 minutes or so, from Walton and Sam meeting to the end of S3E5, is your kind of entertainment, have at it. I won't judge.

That's how I felt. I felt some of the storylines ended up being a nothing burger. And I thought some of how it ended was kinda like....that didn't make sense.

Yeah, lots of tiny loose ends that don't really matter, a few things that do matter, but ultimately this show is about the small moments. It's not really about the plot or the mystery. This season was sub-par in a lot of respects, but I still enjoyed watching it all because the characters are fun and the conversations are interesting. When people were pointing out how slow the story was progressing, I didn't care. I liked it all and figured there was a big payoff coming. There wasn't. I'm a little disappointed, but it's OK.

When they're boarding the boat to leave, Piper is glowing and it's supposed to be because she lost her virginity to Belinda's son. None of that happened in the edit we saw. It kinda gives you an idea of how these loose ends happen. Her story was set up as her being an uptight virgin and we never saw that thru. White has all these ideas floating around, he's the only writer, and when he writes it there may be no loose ends, but that's not how the finished product works.
