So why even pick up that pail of water? Why even think this horrible idea is worth making excuses for them for?

There is absolutely nothing going on that warrants suspending writ of habeas corpus. It’s a historically bad idea. You can still support Trump and look at really stupid ideals and call them really stupid ideas. This is a really stupid idea. This is straight up banana republic logic. And Miller should keep his mouth shut on this kind of idiotic brainstorming.

After the Dems brought in millions and millions of illegals, how long would it take to process EACH one through the courts? A hundred years?

So:

“Well, the Constitution is clear — and that of course is the supreme law of the land — that the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus can be suspended in a time of invasion,” Miller told reporters at the White House.

But declaring it an “invasion” brings its own set of issues.

Therefore:

“So, it’s an option we’re actively looking at”.

More water carrying. Ok. You do you.

It’s a historically bad idea. It’s petty dictator level thinking. It’s SUPPOSED to be hard for the government to go after the people. It’s SUPPOSED to be hard to detain people without cause. Arrest as many of them as they like. But give them due process and be held accountable as having cause to actually detain them.

How would you deal with millions and millions of illegal immigrants that broke line in front of those immigrants doing it legally? Give them all a free pass and encourage more of the same?

It’s SUPPOSED to be an orderly procedure to enter the country to work and/or become a citizen. Currently nearly a million naturalized US citizens are added every year. Maybe more could be added faster if the courts weren’t clogged with those that were enabled to come on in by a misguided political element.

Not by making it a pretend emergency so I could erode individual rights, that's for sure. Especially if I were a "libertarian"

Yet more water carrying. Arrest anybody suspected of being here illegally. And abide by the constitution and allow them to challenge their detention. It literally is that easy.

Where did I say “arrest anybody suspected”? There are plenty that have outed themselves by breaking other laws to keep the enforcement agencies busy.

You make it sound as if doors are being kicked down and random people are being snatched. That was Reno and Bubba.

“Looking at” is different than your flawed narrative of constitutional rights not being abided by.

You can’t even slow your outrage long enough for ACTUAL non-compliance of laws to occur instead of random comments triggering you. “Actively looking at”.

The flaw is in their own argument. Will look at it if the courts don't do what they want. That's not an argument that holds water. If its an invasion then the courts dont matter
