When I was there first session ran from the first Monday in June to the last weekday before July 4. Second session usually begins the Monday after July 4 and runs until the end of the first week of August.

The Dude is right. Classes start monday and they are that exact system. I think Most non incoming freshman do to try and get ahead. And any freshman that was accepted for this summer can and probably will. Like BB was already here.

Under Fulmer, if you were not on campus by the second session, you probably were not seeing the field as a freshman. Not so sure it'll be that way under Kiffin.

Just saw article in govolsxtra.com that said Teague and Nukeese are starting 1st session of summer school at UT today.

I wonder if any of the others are doing that?

16 of UT's 22 signees enrolled for first session : Football : GoVolsXtra.com

Of Tennessee's 22 signees for the 2009 class, only six aren’t enrolled for the first session of summer school.

Defensive back Eric Gordon, defensive lineman Marlon Walls, receiver Zach Rogers, defensive back Michael Edwards, linebacker Jerod Askew and receiver James Green are all expected to enroll for the second session of summer school in July barring any unforeseen eligibility issues.

At this point, it looks as if the Vols will be without a single academic casualty.
