Which UT loss hurt you most in your lifetime?

Too many to count in just the past 10 years.

2015 Oklahoma. That first half, it really felt like we were “back”

2015 UF. Dominated them the whole game and was looking like a nice bounce back after blowing the OU game. You know what happened.

2011 Kentucky. Just embarrassing.

2016 Vanderbilt. All we had to do is beat Vandy to go to the dang Sugar Bowl.

also 2009 and 2015 Bama. Ugh. Should of won those games

2015 was a painful first half. 2016 was a painful 2nd half.

2012 Vandy also was terrible. First time I’d seen us get blown out by Vanderbilt.

Way too many.

Every time we lose to Kentucky or Vanderbilt hurts.

Also any game we get screwed in (Gaffney's "catch", LSU and UNC too many men mess, etc.)

The last two times in Gainesville where all they had to do was stop one flippin pass play and they win the game.

And the Bama game where Lincoln missed roughly 17 field goals

What UT loss was the hardest to swallow for you personally during your life?

Have to agree with the first responder to your post. Alabama 1990 by far is the game that hurts the most. One of the worst Bama teams in the last 50 years comes to Neyland a double digit underdog and finds a way to win. Florida in 2000, Georgia and USCw in 1980 also come to mind.

A lot of them. Kentucky beats us with a WR at QB, The Georgia hobnail boot, The Vandy lossed under Butch Jones, The bad call against Tennessee when Dooley coached vs LSU, The florida game last play touchdown, the Florida game Saturday. Really hard to pick out just one.

Always the last one hurts the worst.

But, if I had to pick, the loss to Memphis in 96 hurt as bad as any I can remember.

There are too many to list, but this is not one of them. Yes, it royally sucked watching us play like that. But there was absolutely nothing on the line in this game except for pride and bragging rights. This loss did not cost us a chance at a championship of any kind like losing to UF in the late 90's and 2000's did.

That I’ve attended, the 2010 Music City Bowl. 2015 Arkansas after being up 2 TDs early. Last year’s Kentucky game in Lexington (got to meet Cornelius Bennett at least)

Any loss to Vandy. ‘09 Bama. ‘15 Oklahoma. Florida last year

For what it’s worth, from the opposite perspective, that 2001 UF loss to UT still stings and always will. UT very likely cost Spurrier a second national title that year. Both of those teams were stacked. That team might have been Spurrier’s best ever, but it never gets recognized because UT knocked them out of the SEC title game and national title chances.

‘13 Vandy -always embarrassing.
‘14 Florida -just a crappy game to watch.
‘15 Oklahoma -one of the best game experiences I’ve ever been a part of, until we lost.
‘16 A&M -that was a fun game, but once again, turnovers cost us. And it’s when our season started heading south. USC game sucked that year too.

Any loss hurts bad. But that loss to KY. ending the streak, them with a wr at QB and the fact that many of our players plain quit and/or didn't care if they won or not is the lowest point in UT football to me. I seriously questioned how I could continue to pull for them if that was to become acceptable.
