Tennessee, Florida, or Georgia? (Or you can pick the field, which is everyone else-- Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri).
To be clear, I do not see any of the three competing for one any time soon. We can't really compete with Alabama, much less beat them in a c-ship game then beat an tOSU, FSU, or Clemson back to back. I just do not see any of us in a position to do that based on the current state of affairs.
But which school can get it together first? To be honest, and this may be a surprise, I am torn between UT and UGA. You both have a real hold on some recruiting areas, and I think the competition in Florida for the top players is just so intense right now and, while UF gets it share of defensive players and WRs, the running backs are going to FSU and Alabama, and the QBs are going to FSU or out of state.
With Miami on the rise, and USF active in Miami, I just think its a taller order for UF now than in the past. UT has its problems, mostly a lack of sustained momentum. CBJ is either the solution to that, or he's just another brick in that wall of a perpetual second-place in the East, occasionally winning it, only to be sacrificed in the c-ship game as we were last year.
UGA is the unknown. They might be the ones that can sneak up and suddenly show up loaded for a real run.
Tough to say, but I do think its at least several years away, maybe longer, for any of us.
