Which SEC coaches were being paid more than Martin?

Billy wasn't paid that well in the beginning (compared to his peers).

When the results came in and he was in demand, he received an appropriate salary for his achievements.

I think if Tennessee hired someone who had that level of success, they'd open up the checkbook too.

And it works both ways. If that happened at Tennessee, basketball revenue would go up as well. The arena would sell out. They could raise booster fees because demand for basketball tickets would be there, etc.

Florida has the pockets to pay donovan whatever someone else wants to pay him, but they didn't start out making him a top 10 paid coach either.

It's being reported widely now that Martin's salary was ranked somewhere around 9th in the SEC, hence he was justified in leaving.

Yet Hart has said his raise this year would have put him in the top 30 nationally. That seems to jibe with this chart, which includes no other SEC teams besides KY and FL:

What am I missing here? I don't see how any SEC coaches besides Donovan, Cal, and Martin were getting big bonuses this year.

Side note: I had no idea Coach K was pushing $10M per year. Whoa.

Practically all of them yet we got better results than practically all of them.
