Saban is arguably the greatest defensive mind the game has ever seen. Pruitt is fantastic in that regard, but better than Saban? He's got a long way to go before that can be claimed.

Not all but a very vocal bunch were against it. Remember all the whining cause we didn't go after Tee, Kelly the pirate guy and a few others. Find the polls. I don't believe Pruitt was even on the list. For the record I was 100% for the hire.

It was not a head coach.

If you got some juicy quotes from a head coach, you don't intentionally miss THIS many opportunities to crow that you got it from a head coach:

Not a single "head coach" slipped in there anywhere.

So it wasn't a boss man. It was most likely some position coach who is a long-time buddy of CJP.

But that wouldn't be tantalizing.

In other words, it is not anonymous because the coach doesn't want people to know who he is; it is anonymous because it wouldn't be much of an article if we knew. Be like finding out Starsky had nice things to say about Hutch.

JK sort of. I like the hire, but all this hype is gonna get really worn out by September. Can we just contain ourselves and see if we can beat Vandy first?
