Shrout or Maurer?

I know it's been speculated on before but after today's debacle, I wouldn't be surprised if Shrout isn't in the Portal by the end of the day. What Pruitt did to him is embarrassing. JG has 3 years of worthlessness and commits 2 pick 6's and a fumble and he gets the benefit of the doubt. Shrout makes one, ONE, 1, UNO, turnover and doesn't see the field again. (I didn't watch the 4th bc my eyes nor my sanity could take it, so if he played then, I missed it).

If I was Shrout, I wouldn't hesitate to enter the Portal. Same for Maurer. Why be loyal to a coach that isn't loyal to you.

I know he is, but still, he has to see that Pruitt loves him some JG and the way Pruitt has treated him and Shrout with that miniscule leash compared to the never ending one that JG has, I wouldn't blame him.

He was likely intended to be primary backup this year but got injured, nobody else (HB and Shrout) had any reps and thus we have been left with JG. Why would Mauer leave tho since as soon as he can play I expect we have an opening.

They made a special scrimmage to help HB catch up and couldn't find a few snaps for Maurer?

The mismanagement of the QB position by Pruitt is the reason we are where we are. There's no way JG is the starter if Kiffin or most any other HC is in charge. JG is limited. He's at best a game manager and now a game manager with a tendency to turn the ball over. Your HC has to see the opportunity costs of playing a guy like JG... then go a different direction.
