Well, we are underway with the "interview" process with Scott, Drayton, Michael and Adkins. There are some early indications out there based on the first wave of recruiting visits.

WHICH COACH IS LIKELY TO SURVIVE?

I said Scott. I think he could learn from coach Kiff being that CLK will probably work with the receivers this first year himself. It all depends on who else he's able to bring in this signing class. Bring in more recruits and he def stays.

In the back of my head, i keep thinking that what kiffin is doing with these guys is totally unprofessional. At some point you have to cut the cord with these guys. i would hope he would cut these guys when the dead period begins and come out with our new staff before signing day and woo a couple big names late. i just dont really think its appropriate for these guys to be recruiting for us if kiffin has no intention of keeping them around. seems kind of sleazy

Are you sure kiffin is just "stringing them along" or is he having them do their job as a way to evaluate if they'd be an asset to his staff? I'd say its more the latter of the two. I think he may have some interest in keeping them around if they can perform to his standards

As forward as he was with Boyd and Petty, I would be suprised if he was just stringing them along.

i dont really know. it just seems like theres got to be another way to handle that. i can see both sides but if just doesnt sound right to me

I agree 100%, don't get me wrong. I guess I want to think he's doing the right thing. Personally, I think drayton needs to go. I won't completely blame him for the terrible season foster had, but I don't think he helped him much. And his recruiting antics have left little to be desired in keeping him around.

It all depends on who Kiffin can get from the outside. If he gets the personnel he wants none of them may make it.

These guys are grown men and I'm sure are very capable of realizing the consequences of them choosing to stay. I am sure that they have put out feelers and are receiving feedback concerning potential openings just in case. And even if they are let go and don't find immediate work, they still get paid. I don't think it is being sleazy and I don't feel sorry for them.
