Tennessee set records both in positive ways (enough with the bad refs and bad play calling mess)

which are you most impressed by……

offense scoring a record 511 points for a season breaking the Heath Shuler led vols in 1993

defense recording a record number of tackles for loss of 98 not sure what year this occurred

yes the defense has LOTS TO WORK ON this offseason BUT that’s pretty impressive considering all the facts.

The reason they had so many tackles for a loss is that they were on the dang field so much, more opportunity. It's like having a record for most tackles by a safety, it ain't necessarily a good thing.

The defensive stat is not nearly as impressive as some would lead you to believe.

Offense on the other hand was a blast to watch and deserves all the praise.

The massive improvement in the offense. It feels like were finally joining the modern Era of football. It's especially sweet after how bad the offense was for 4 straight years.

Taking the points. The D will improve, gotta a lotta good coaching film.
I, for one, am extremely optimistic about the culture swing, work ethic, and determination of the entire program to improve.
Hated loosing the BG, but hey, no one expected this team to be there.

A number that will not be talked about but is a huge improvement in itself is .500 and the reason is for the first time in a very long time we spent everyday of the season at or above .500. It is only the second time since 2007 other '16 that it has happened and I really think we have a chance at that becoming a trend.
