Bama hires another Mike to coach the football team or UT recruits another Smith to play for the men's basketball team.

I see Saban building a consistent winner and Bama running him off or he takes another crack at the NFL. In the leagues mind he'll always be a loser until he proves otherwise.

Yea, how about a basketball team full of Smiths. It gave television broadcasters fits this year just trying not to mix up the two. Asi I remember, Verne Lundquist just gave up and started calling them both Ramar.

Bama cannot afford to get rid of Saban. I do not know what his buyout is if the NFL came sniffing but I'm guessing it's high.

When Shula was first hired I remember seeing a lot of Crimson shirts that said "Got Mike?" But now the bumper sticker "S - The Coach" a la "W - The President" is very popular.

He's stuck with us or we're stuck with him, depending on which way you want to look at it. It's a Catch-22, we can't afford his payout and no other team, college or pro, can afford his buyout. That's the genius of the contract. Or the stupidity, depending on which way you want to look at it.

I live in Bama; I've seen a couple of Saban T-shirts, but the only bumper stickers with S on them I've seen have been the...........you know what I mean.
