Which Freshman Receiver Most Ready?

I would love for Moore to step up and be a big-play guy. That is something that we are really looking for out of this freshman class. Is it possible, then, that we will see O'Neal and Moore getting some starts along with Lucas Taylor? I guess we will find out more tomorrow.

HAH I knew it was Darnius!!!!! :dance2::dance2::dance2:

His high school coach should know:
Thanks for the welcome. I am looking forward to spending time here.

Moore's first name is Darnius. It is pronounced Denarius

Du-nair-e-us

Creer may not see any playing time this year due the number of backs at Ten. However, my point was that he is that good of a back. If he can be redshirted, he would be that much better coming in off of his redshirt year. Just my opinion, but Creer could be one of the best backs in the nation within a couple of years (provided he stays healthy). It will be fun watching this unfold.

His high school coach should know:

That's confusing...it seems to break every rule I know about syntax and pronunciation.

By the looks of it...his name is spelled in a way that it would seem to be pronounced Dar-nee-us

But, according to his highschool coach it is pronounced Duh-nair-e-us

Weird....:dunno:

Asked what newcomer was most ready to play, Taylor said Denarius Moore.
“He’s made the biggest jump for me,” Taylor said. “He’s showed up. He knows how to work. He’s got some dynamics and he’s a tough kid.”

Who expected that answer?
didn't read the whole thread, so this may have already been brought up, but whenever i see coaches bringing up virtual unknowns in quotes like this, it's possible he's calling out the others......guys like Vinson, O'Neal, Jones etc...getting all the hype before anything happens......TT probably not real happy with where they are and this is his little way of digging at them.......

that and he just thinks this kid has improved greatly......

That is an interesting take....I could buy it

Jake, I suspect you may be on to something, although Moore could just be the sleeper of the class. I have also heard that Karl was awed by Savion Frazier which makes me wonder where Donald is.

Scrimmage will reveal what is really up. It seems to me that Cut wants O'Neal to take a spot with the ones. A freshmen, whoever makes a statement saturday, will likely find themselves among the four. The rest, to begin with anyway, are going to have a hard time catching quality snaps in practice after next week.

yeah, there are always "diamonds in the rough" that we don't know about before hand....

and TT is just setting the expectation.......take a kid you've never heard of and he becomes the example.....work ethic, drive, determination = results. and he wants all of them to be the same way, regardless of how many stars you came with.........

i like it. and if hte kid turns out to be that good and becomes a contributor as well.........even better.

maybe our version of Rudy.......:)

No. It is spelled correctly: Darnius. It is pronounced De-nar-ee-us.

It pains me to say this but I believe VIA is correct. It's been spelled Darnius but it is, in fact, supposed to be Denarius.

His high school coach should know:

The story is that on his birth certificate it's Denarius. The story is also that the high school had it spelled incorrectly, thus the coach would, too. Hell, the tidbit on VQ even says Denarius himself had it misspelled.

He's not a freshmen, but I think everyone expected O'neil to emerge as a starter. Too bad he's injured right now and not at 100%.

he's not, but i don't think it's all that serious either. i'd have to think if it was, he wouldn't see the feild tomorrow.....O'Neal will be fine when all is said and done.
