Where's your righteous indignation, LG1?

Actually Webb said McCain should tone down his military record talk. This is also the same Webb who wore his son's combat boots during his VA campaign.

And Webb's son is the only Senator's son to serve in Iraq. Being proud of your son and giving an opinion on another guy's campaign are two different things.

Can't McCain be proud of his service and not be criticized for it? Is he the only former POW in politics?

I guess McCain's son serving in Iraq doesn't count?

Maybe McCain should where his son's boots to show his pride.

McCain's flip flops reflect that he understands the reality on the ground. Obama's flip flops reflect a keen understanding of political expedience and an ability to pander without the possibility of having his previous policy stances examined by the media.

Like denouncing the late Jerry Falwell then going to Liberty University to stand alongside him?

They all flip-flop, especially in general elections when candidates move to the center. Clinton did it, Bush did it, Gore, Kerry, Obama does it, McCain does it.

I am wrong on this, my bad. Sure, he should wear his boots if that is what he wants to do. If they fit.

Absolutley, he should be proud of his service, we should be proid of his service. I think Webb was offering strategy only. I could be wrong, just my opinion.

You have to hand it to his campaign for the way it is handling this. He gets asked about it by Hannity, says he is proud but won't discuss it. And then Hannity says that he is proud of them, too. Similar type of remarks from McCain allies. But all the while he just declines comment.

So, they get the benefit of it being talked about, but also the benefit of McCain saying its off limits and personal.

Genius, really.

I thought only the Obamassiah could do something like that? After all, he did claim to see fallen members of the military in the audience at his Memorial Day sermon.

Point is McCain doesn't just "flip-flop" or change his mind when it makes sense. He has also "flip-flopped" to serve his political career. Need to be more conservative, go see Mr. Falwell. It had nothing to do with Obama because I have not denied Obama to flip-flop.

Was that Memorial day or Veterans day? :p
