I thought Jacques would be killin' it by now. Sacks, tackles for loss and knockin people senseless. Have I just been missing it??

He is having a solid year so far, and he'll only get better as the season goes along.

Solid year? He really hurt us against Florida because he couldn't set the edge. That is also the reason Dooley has said Willie Bohannon might start this weekend.

it's unfortunate that JS can't keep his focus, but to say he has played poorly is not accurate.

12 tackels, 6 solo, 1 TFL.

Tied career-high with six tackles including a TFL vs. #18 Florida (9/15)

Not great numbers but against two spread teams and not even starting last week I would say solid numbers. Last week was Bohannon tryout game. We'll see if he starts this week, that's still to be determined. The reason Dooley likes Bohannon so much was because he said he is consistent, I still think Smith has the better upside.

I doubt any of you that say he is playing poorly can find actual evidence to support your claim. Our LBs and secondary have cost us way more than #55 this year. Jac has been harassing QBs some as well. IMO, he looks exponentially better than he did last year.

Lathers is one that needs to step up.

Sometimes players can't put it all together on a consistent basis. Hope he figures it out before his eligibility is up.

he is struggling. don't be surprised to see Willie Bo start over him this weekend

They found out he can't cover anyone.... He's ok at run support, other than that he's not done much..

Jacques has definitely been a huge disappointment. Sometimes guys just reach their peak in high school. You have to have an extra gear to shift into to hang with the big boys. He doesn't seem to have it.


Sorry Jacques....get a good education...I'm afraid that you're going to need it to make a living.
