He posted some but really didn't act that crazy..or should I say..didn't raise his craziness / ridiculousness to a new level. I think that he basically held to his word that he wouldn't be around after the game. THANK GOD!

I knew he said he would be gone after the game, just thought he would have gloated, but I guess he showed some class.

I'm going to sit back and watch Cal choke at some point in the season before they even get to USC. Trust me, it's going to happen.

You don't not go to rose bowl in 50 years without having a history of chokejobs. No question. Hopefully last year taught these guys a lesson or two.

Exactly. Actually, I would say Cal is a really good team in terms of offense and special teams. Defense is very average.

Everyone is saying that Oregon State can upset Cal, UCLA, or USC. That's what I was referring to. I haven't seen OSU play yet.

dline and part of the secondary is young. I expect big improvements over the next 4 or 5 weeks.

i saw them play utah and despite the final score i thought they looked horrible. Particurally on offense. Cal will blow out OSU IMO. ASU, Oregon, or UCLA have a chance. We could look past UW or WSU and screw up too.

Droski, I have been wanting to congratulate you on the win Saturday, but didn't know in which of the 3,000 threads about the game started since then to post.

You guys played a great game and have some real talent. I hope you guys have a great season. If your defense toughens up you will be able to hang with anyone this year.

I don't even think I have posted in the same thread as you before, but I have read lots of your posts. You are a knowledgeable fan and a class act.

Hopefully you will decide to stick around even though the game is over.

Well as long as your at least 2nd in the Pac-10 you'll go to the Rose...cause IMO the USC/Cal winner will go to the NC. I have new found respect for Cal but I still think you and USC are the only legit NC teams and if both stay focused then you will face each other undefeated...the winner going to the NC and the loser going to the Rose

The Rose isn't the NC this year is it? If it is then I guess the loser won't be going to the Rose...Oh well, help me out on this one please

The sugar bowl is the NC, but since they now play two games at the NC site, it wouldn't matter. If Cal wins 10 games in the regular season and SC goes undefeated, i'd say we have a 95% chance of going to the rose bowl.

Does it take away any of the prestige to know you were the 2nd choice for the Rose? The only way you got there was because USC was better. I don't mean that negative at all but truly wonder how Cal fans see it. Maybe it's been so long they dont care :p

Cal will lose 3 or 4 games (leaning towards 3 more than 4 right now).

We beat Cal last year and finished 9-4.

We'd rather beat SC of course, but we'll take 2nd choice any day. There are many cal fans that would rather go to the rose bowl as the second choice than go to the NC game (I know that sounds nuts, and I'm not one of the people who feels this way btw). Many of us honestly wondered whether we would see a rose bowl in our lifetime. If we go to the rose bowl it will be the hottest ticket in 10 years.
