If mike hamilton would have opened up the check book and got a big time hire when kiffin left? Say like a Patterson, Peterson or Stoops. IMO and before all the people obsessed with Dooley chim in I am entitled to an opinion I personally think we have 6-7 wins right now and that's with the injuries. I think that we would have been more competitive in the 2nd half's of games or at least shown a pulse. I also think we would be seeing more improvement and at least have the fundamentals of the game down blocking, tackling etc.

The money was not the reason coaches with credibility were not interested in the UT job.

I am sure Patterson and Stoops would have been able to keep Hunter and Bray healthy all year. That would have made a huge difference.

Yeah, as in no amount of money UTKAD could muster would have lured in a good coach.

Don't you know that if we had offered Bill Bellichek, Jim Harbaugh, or Jon Gruden lots of money, they would have dropped everything to come be coach here?

Same... Really bad. 8 new starters on D. Our DL minus MJackson will have the same non changers next year. I saw D Hood get pancaked over and over last night and he is a starter.. Former OL bench player to starting at NT...We are getting zero from the DE's...

We have currently 1 WR that is playing that is a real weapon..Hunter is a stud.. The rest does not make you think that next year they will breakout.

What does it say when your J Toney gets reps at the running back position and looks better than Pool and he is a walk on.

It just shows everyone that recruiting matters and to think next year that we will contend is a pipe dream.

Do you really think the coaches say "hey guys tonight why don't we just half a## tackle people, play with about 45% emotion and lets just get through the game as quick and painless as possible? Tell me you are not that stupid. When are people going to see that only THE PLAYERS can control HOW THEY PLAY!!!

Daniel Hood is likely facing surgery for his shoulder, as it is still bothering him, this info came straight from his dad.

How many more games is Chaney going to run sweeps when its obvious to even Ray Charles that the speed of the SEC defenses shut that crap down

I wish they would have hired someone else in 2002 or 2003 whenever Hamilton was hired. He clearly had no balls. Knew nothing about football. I knew it was bad news as hard as Phil bucked to get him in there.

No one wanted the job. Having the NCAA black cloud wasn't going to get a big name coach

Ah, yes, true.
But that isn't the case now.

Another alleged reason for us not being able to lure a big time coach was the cupboard being bare. I don't really believe that is the case now either. Young, yes. NO talent, no.

I personally believe with the NCAA cloud lifted and a better base of talent, and IF UT would open the checkbook for real, we could hire an elite type coach.

All that's assuming Dooley doesn't show drastic signs of improvement next year.

WHAT OTHER OPTIONS DO WE HAVE!!! Are you ray charles? Worley and Simms are not very good. EVERYONE IS YOUNG. The team we played last night may have the best group of wide outs in nation. This is the SEC, not everyone can win every game. This is just of years where we are down. Look at Fla. They went form 2 titles in 3 years to just above us. Its just a cycle we have to go through. No team, in any sport in any league (with exception of maybe Barcelona) can be dominate and win every year.
