Phil, when asked after the game about Hardesty's not playing said "I was wondering why he didn't play". WTF I thought he was the head coach?

Didn't he say something to the effect that he was surprised "we didn't get him in there?" I was in TN today and was listening to the post game show while driving home.

The RB rotation would usually be the responsibility of the RB coach even though obviously he would have the final say.
Come on, GA. Are you telling me if Chris Brown hadn't had a carry for OU midway through the third quarter Stoops wouldn't ask what the heck is going on?

Yeah. He must have been texting or playing a PSP or something. It's obvious he didn't watch the game.

I don't mean to absolve him from blame - just saying that the RB coach usually is who makes the call. But you're right . . . especially after Creer got stuffed on that 4th down run, you'd think they would have had a conversation on the headset about the personnel that was on the field.

I think I would have asked the question as I saw a freshman who hasn't cracked the rotation all year headed onto the field.

First off - Why is Jarrod Parrish close enough to the field to even smell the grass? He's awful, absolutely terrible.

Second - It boggles me that Larry Slade is still DBs coach. The DBs and laying off the "only" reciever Bammer has in DJ Hall blew my mind all day long. Off the line 10 yrds, so that when he runs a 10 yrd out which he did all day, our DBs primarily M. Johnson (#31) are another 7 yrds off of him. B.Vinson is going to be good though, at least he can tackle. But that goes on to my main point.

That it all goes back to coaching and it sucks, worse than ever in the era of pf. I can't comprehend it. Apparently the answer lies in the fact that we don't have the athletes and depth (esp. on Def. - to back up why a converted WR Brett Vinson (true fresh) is having to play CB) and we've been out-recruited in the past 5 years or so. Mediocre coaching of pf & co won't cut much longer. Pf used to win by out-athleting teams, that's no longer is the case, there's too much parity, and we're not getting the athletes, so the coaching disparities and weaknesses of pf & co. are showing BIG TIME. I was at the game and the body language of our guys was discouraging, 5 mins into the 3rd Q, you could already tell we were beat, and we were playing that way. Adios pf & co. The writer is standing at the wall, pen in hand.

im all for it, but when you have a 3rd and short or 4th and short, you put your best short-yardage guy in there and let him get it, not a true freshman.

Yeah, whatever happened to substituting in the right personnel and going into the huddle to call your play? What a novel idea?!?!?!?! Even beyond this year's no huddle, they've been calling pays at the line quite often and having your OWN play calling determined by WHO you have in the game because you just want to stay in no huddle is RETARDED!

Play A: Yes, great play, worked last week. Ooops, cant' use it. Hardesty isn't in the game. Scratch that off.

Play B: Meh, not so good. Hasn't been too successful. Let's see, well Lennon Creer is in the game so let's run it anyway.

Here's your measuring stick........U. Myer,Saban, spurrier, and , I dare say Brooks and Johnson....without even mentioning miles......could take our team for one year and make a run at everything!!

why Hardesty wasn't playing in the game and he "wondered that myself" tells me he has lost control of the team.....that also tells me CPF doesn't have any say-so whatsoever in the offense.....that is disturbing to me!! I can see where pride and stuff would collide both being head coaches at one time BUT.......I have taken up for Fulmer up until today......if he has no control over who is on the field or not....what is he being payed for???

This is not a "fire Fulmer" thread.....I want people's real opinion on this....

Do we have 2 higher powers on this team and is CPF afraid to step on toes??

I hate seeing a guy run out of bounds like a sissy. Foster has yet to use his shoulder pads all year, he should sling them on ebay.
According to the stats Foster only ran out of bounds twice. I have seen Foster drop his shoulder and give a hard hit quite often.
