First off - Why is Jarrod Parrish close enough to the field to even smell the grass? He's awful, absolutely terrible.
Second - It boggles me that Larry Slade is still DBs coach. The DBs and laying off the "only" reciever Bammer has in DJ Hall blew my mind all day long. Off the line 10 yrds, so that when he runs a 10 yrd out which he did all day, our DBs primarily M. Johnson (#31) are another 7 yrds off of him. B.Vinson is going to be good though, at least he can tackle. But that goes on to my main point.
That it all goes back to coaching and it sucks, worse than ever in the era of pf. I can't comprehend it. Apparently the answer lies in the fact that we don't have the athletes and depth (esp. on Def. - to back up why a converted WR Brett Vinson (true fresh) is having to play CB) and we've been out-recruited in the past 5 years or so. Mediocre coaching of pf & co won't cut much longer. Pf used to win by out-athleting teams, that's no longer is the case, there's too much parity, and we're not getting the athletes, so the coaching disparities and weaknesses of pf & co. are showing BIG TIME. I was at the game and the body language of our guys was discouraging, 5 mins into the 3rd Q, you could already tell we were beat, and we were playing that way. Adios pf & co. The writer is standing at the wall, pen in hand.
