I hate that the OP's question raised this thought in my head... but I think it's reality:
If OSU plays in or wins the title game, how much more money might become available (funds being fungible) for a sweeter NIL deal for Bey--or any player?

Without casting doubts on Bey, the opportunity may be there for every "signed" recruit who at one time had interest from any of the teams who'll make big bucks from their CFP participation.

Hopefully, I'm being needlessly pessimistic.
But in the end, we will know how many "signed" recruits end up switching teams to a CFP money winner.

He signed with tOSU 1st while wearing all OSU gear. Since he is only 17 his mom has to sign also. His mom wouldn't sign with anybody but UT, so he signed with UT. He turns 18 in about 3 weeks so he will probably just enter the portal in January. UT offered more money that's why his mom wanted UT. He wants to play at tOSU.

Thanks and this is why I hate college ball now. Stuff like this is just too much.

Reckon the lesson here is that if you want to play football at The University of Tennessee, leave your drama at the Knoxville city limits.

(and truthfully, am a bit surprised by these results. Anyone else?)

Whether for reasons cumulative or just seasonal--it appears Vols fans are in "protecting-against-more-disappointment" mode.

🎶 "When I was young, it seemed that football was magical
Amateurical, beautiful, a spectacle
And all the Vols in the stands, well they'd be cheering wholeheartedly
Or at home on J-P TV.
But then they..."

As far as what position he will play I'm sure he and the coaches have sorted that out. I hope he's here this fall but it is not unusual to lose or gain a player or two between signing day and fall camp.

So, several things here.

1. If Legend was truly intent on playing for OSU, then he could have just waited a few more weeks until he turned 18, then mom no longer has to sign. His birthday is in 2-3 weeks from what I understand.

2. If Heupel thought this guy was going to be a problem, I'm not sure he lets him sign. I'm hoping Heup learned his lesson after Boo.

3. I'm hoping that kid thrives at UT and understands why it is the place for him, and realizes Momma was right. But if he doesn't, then oh well.

It seems like lots of fans are just becoming kinda numb to the whole nil fiasco. Whether one wants to admit or not, it is killing the game and the enthusiasm for it
