He was on the sidelines during the Pitt game. It is very hard to miss him.

Real excited to see what he can do tomorrow as he looks like an NFL caliber prospect. No way his role doesn't expand as the season wears on.

Also, we have a bunch of pent up "too tall to play running back" arguments ready to go here if they go that route.

But I imagine they'll want to just get him the ball in space against Tennessee Tech any way they can.

Welp, if he gets in the TTC Game, that would certainly Expand his role! lol

Some possibilities:

1. Redshirt. We could be limiting his participation to a few key games.
2. Poor vision. You can be a tough, fast runner and still be a bad running back.
3. Poor hands. Does he drop a lot of passes out of the backfield? If so, that would make the play-callers job even more difficult. Heupel/Golesh are already limited by poor QB play. Can't afford to also coddle a RB.
4. Poor pass-protection. Same logic as above. If you aren't as good at protecting the QB as the other guy, good chance they're going to go with the other guy.
5. Ball security. We don't know how many balls he has or hasn't fumbled in practice.
6. Undisclosed injury/medical condition. The guy could have been in concussion protocol against BG & Pitt for all we know or maybe he's recovering from a pulled hammy so they don't want him going full speed. Or maybe he fell on a helmet.

In summary, the possibilities are endless.

I'm sick of the tweener talk. At least use him in packages. Heupel had a wildcat package at UCF. This man scored hella rushing touchdowns in HS from the QB spot, 10 yards out from the end zone. I can see him getting a TD toss with a trick RB Pass play. Let's get a little more creative with the offense, besides the Tim Tebow pop pass to the H-Back.

Surely this staff doesn't sit the better players at their position. Just ask HB 🤔
