Where did our down fall begin.

Does anybody really know where our down fall begin. It's like after the 2007 SEC championship game we literally forgot how to play offense. It's like it just happened in the blink of an eye and really so fast that I don't think anybody really know what went wrong.

Well to me it was between te 2007 and 2008 seasons. I mean all we had to do was hire Decoud from Michigan as offensive coordinator and he woulda hand delivered Ryan Mallet to us. Instead we hired Clawson. Booooooooo

It happened when Fulmer stopped bringing in recruits like he had in years past. It didn't help that Mike Hamilton ran the show long enough to hire Kiffin after an extremely humiliating public search for a football coach in which several of the top names turned us down. Got even worse when Kiffin left after 1 season, taking more of what was already a bare cupboard with him. Things will get better.

it started the day we won the BCS Championship. we decided as a staff that we did not have to work as hard to recruit anymore. "We made it boys"...."now the recruits will just call us." I also think we started recruiting for rivals and scout stars instead of recruiting for need. by doing this, we got thin on talent at OL and DL.

the past 4 years have been odd in a way because we went from a 9-10 win to a 5-6 win team over night. This has to have been the worse 4 years in Tennessee football history.

You do realize that the same retards on these boards that were trying to bring the ax down on Fulmer are now doing the same **** to Dooley?!?!?!?

the 3 head coaches (no make that 3 full coaching staffs) in just 3 years did it. Period (pretty much).


What happened here more struck fast and struck hard than anything else

I realized this too. I bet even those guys would want the HC fired even if they were in LSU's shoes tonight...

When Chris Simms committed to us, making us lose out on Ken Dorsey to MIA, then Simms making a fool of us when he signed with TX....

...I'm with the guy that said after the coaches got complacent after winning the NC, but I think the above mentioned was the final nail that made it spiral straight down hill...

...This is all IMO that's all....
