serious question

the talent necessary for the tampa 2 is hard enough to find...in the NFL.

how do you think UTenn (who has fallen down thanks to UGA and USC cutting off their out of state pipelines) is going to maintain the talent necessary to run monte's D?

This is getting ridiculous. Even if it were a serious question, terrible timing.

Monte doesn't only have one scheme his capable of installing. He's not an amateur which apparently you're calling him. He's been a wise old man - I'm pretty sure he's smart enough to adapt to his personnel and run what's best for his team and the talent he has.

No go back and troll tigerdroppings. Sheesh.

please explain to me all of the other Ds he's run in the past 10 years?

then why has he failed to do this in the NFL?

when he didn't have the talent for the tampa 2, guess what D he ran: the tampa 2

Look at his defenses over the years. HE'S HAD NO REASON TO RUN ANYTHING ELSE. Are you really that dense? He's been one of the most successful defensive coordinators in the history of the NFL. Why change what works, buddy?

the thing with Chavis is that if you give him average talent he'll give a bad defense: 06, 07. If you give exceptional talent he'll give you a top 10 defense: 05, 08. The thing with Chavis is that your lead is never safe in the 4th quarter because he runs his mustang package.

You're making it sound like his defense has been shredded over the years and there was a need for a change...

like 2006? 21st in the NFL in total D

you're right. he doesn't change anything. he runs one defense.

why can't you admit that?

Are you really that clueless? If you want info, go to the Tampa Bay Bucs boards. They'll show you how ignorant you really are if you believe all that.

So I guess Chavis is a craptastic coordinator too, right? Considering he fielded the worst Tennessee defense ever last year? And a pretty crappy on the year before?

Congratulations, Monte's defense finished 21st one year.

Monte's defense is more about giving up yards than giving up points. also Tampa's D in 06 gave up only 13 points a game which was 2nd best in the league.

I've always heard bad things about LSU fans, but I'm getting first hand proof tonight.
i fail to see what's so bad about calling a morbidly obese man a risk for a serious heart attack

you have to work to get that fat. always remember that

i'm not commenting about chavis

he's a "Safe" hire

i'll only be truly happy with the hire if we get joseph along with O. 3 guys who are NFL-quality coaches at their respective positions. 2 great recruiters. trust me, i'm not happy with the idea of 3rd and chavis
