It seems like we could beat any team in a bidding war for coaches. Any specifics as to why?

Lane, Monte, and O are going to make about 4.1 mil

Les Miles by himself is making around 3.8.

We are just spending money on assistants instead of a HC

Lots of money around K-town, no professional sports team, and the mega SEC TV deal. Also, as has been mentioned, there are plenty of teams that are spending more than UT for coaches.

This! Fulmer was making 6 million a season and had a staff budget of 1 million. CLK is making 2 mil a season and has 2 million to spend on filling his staff.

We have pretty much been saving up years since Fulmer has been here. No telling how much is up there, we have just had to pay a few bonuses and the ridiculous 6M buyout. Then , Kiffin is only costin 2.375M, so we are using money for assistants.

After watching ESPN today, it looks like Fulmer auctioned his orange ties. May have got some dough from that! Lol.

UT Sports programs pulls in the $$$, we can afford it ...Look at Urban at UF (3 Mil +), Stoops (OU) and Satan (Bama) These guys are pulling in serious cash. I would be interested to see how we compare to the top programs in the Big 10, Big 12, SEC and PAC 10. Hamilton finally broke open the piggy bank and he better, his job is on the line now.

Well we kept giving raises to Fulmer & Co and we saw what we got in return. I'd rather spend a little more and wisely and get a great return. Look at Fla., Alabama, USC and Oklahoma.

Plus as they say "If you Win, they will come...."
