Where are the big guys? [Quay Picou left the team]

Let's face it, some of the players Butch recruited weren't good enough to play at Maryville College. Picou fit the mold. Pruitt will continue to cull the roster and encourage some players that will not be able to contribute to move on. Saban does this every year at Bama. Butch couldn't keep the 5 star players around because they realized he couldn't coach and they chose to leave the program. Hopefully fans will be patient while Pruitt completely revamps this roster so we can compete in the SEC in the next few years.

I live in the same area as his mother and have spoke to her about Quay and other guys on the team. It has been a while since I have talked to her, so I have no idea why he left the team. I do know that he loved the team and is a hard worker. He was a favorite of his teammates...a lot of them would come home with him down here on breaks. He's a good kid. I doubt he quit because he didn't want to put in the work. Maybe he just wants to play and didn't see a fit in the new scheme? I actually thought he would be a solid DE in the 3-4, but I'm no expert.

I don’t like seeing people leave and none of us know the backstory. Could be playing time, could be fit, could be personal issues. Either way, he seemed like good kid who worked hard and wish him good luck in the future.....Dilly dilly....

Every team on the Vols schedule has marked the Vols game as a win, but it may come to pass, no?

We are losing way too many. I don't believe the new NCAA rules allow the potential to turn over a team as quickly as it did with Jones ... 25 per year, no more.

He is not the only one that has left since the new coach was named. If he was there would be no problem - but he isn't.

Well we had early draft entries and a QB transferred...but we just replaced him. Nothing out of the ordinary. College football. :)

Don’t be surprised if this happens a lot.

Going from lazy practices to hard, dig deep, grind it out practices will cause gut check soul searching for a lot of those young men

I'm guessing that most D1 college football practices are pretty tough. I doubt that CJP's are any tougher than CBJ's, just maybe structured a little differently. They're all tough though.
