I love what Tee did for UT and will be forever grateful for his scramble to beat Syracuse and the many things he did to help UT win a National Title. But, I don't think he is a great OC, much less HC potential at this point in his career. Yes, he has a new QB. But, I believe Sam Darnold was groomed by Helton, not Tee. I also think we witness USC struggling on O quite a bit this year with Helton here at UT. We shall see.

I think Shaw is a hell of a coach. However Stanford is kind of like Wisconsin. They both recruit a certain type of player to fit their systems. They play tough, hard nosed, physical football. They win a lot of football games. However at some point during the season they'll find a way to lose a game or two that prevents them from getting to that upper echelon with the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, etc. Typically this is where elite recruiting makes the difference.

The fact is the the majority of successful SEC head coaches have always been defensive minded.

Fulmer didn't Tee was ready and he was probably right. I think there were people on here calling for a variety of different names.

Tee will never be ready. Not that kind of guy. He is a RB's coach that is on the road all the time recruiting but not coaching. Those of you that do not know, RB coaches don't really coach anything. They recruit.

As for Mullen, the guy can flat out coach. He has inherited a mess. Much like Pruitt. Those things do not turn over night. Ask Saban, Richt, Dabo and Smart.

It's always funny to me those that preach patience in one scenario are quick to judgement in another scenario.

Maybe you should pump the brakes and wait and see how our coach turns out before you start stuff like this.
