Sure, we just got a new coach, but when does the feeling of a new direction really sink in?? This isn't going to be the same team we have been complaining about as far as scheme, accountability, and player development for the past 5-7 years. So, when will it sink in for you?? Has it already, or will it take National Signing Day and/or the O&W Game??

I'm already pretty fired up right now, but I think for me it will be either signing day or the day the new staff is announced which ever is first.

I got fired up when Kiffin roundhouse kicked the former culture of UT football Dec. 1. I'm going to be in my back yard tackling cows the day Monte and Coach O come on board.

Why so long??
Because I'm not a big fan of following recruiting closely because nobody knows how a high school football player will translate to college ball. Remember, in the title you capitalized REALLY. The proof is what is put on the field on opening day. But maybe that's just me. :)

I stay fired up. I can't wait to see how many commitments we get, national signing day, the start of spring practice, the O&W game. I am getting pumped right now. I do love when late summer gets here and you start seeing all the magazines on the shelves and the pre-season polls are being released. Man!!! How many days is it until kickoff?

Lee Harvey, you are a madman. When you stole that cow, and your friend tried to make it with the cow. I want to party with you, cowboy. If the two of us together, forget it.

At this particular moment I'm more excited about what potential recruits he could sway into coming to Knoxville. Then it will be towards the spring game. Then next season.

Right now for me is like you just won a big game and it hasn't sunk in yet. I will be estatic when signing day comes and I see who he brings in on such short notice. Hopefully it gets better next Tues. if Giles re-commits to TN! having the #1 & 2 APB's in the nation would be sweet!

I was excited watching the press conference, then I will be on signing day, and once again at the orange and white game. When I really get fired up for UT is as soon as me and family get back from vacation... thats when I read football time in tennessee on the beach. I can't wait to c what kiffin has in store for the new season:rock:

Not to sound like a dork, which I do on a pretty regular basis around here, but when he had the one liner about singing Rocky Top (even if it was Hamilton's idea), I jumped out of my seat pointed at the TV and kept saying, "That's what I'm talking about mother f*****" and did the fist pump for a solid 30-45 seconds.

I haven't done that in some time, it felt great.

Edit: I just hope that doesn't turn into me doing the same thing and going, "What are you doing you stupid mother f*****"

I am very excitied right now...but I think it will really kick in when I get down to UT next spring for the HS coaches clinic.

I went down last spring, but with a new era of UT football beginning I can't wait to go back and meet the new staff and get a personal look at the changes Kiffin is putting in place. GO VOLS!!!
