If and only if we play the game of our lives and win the game, the field will get stormed. The younger generation will be on the field and the blue hairs will be in the stands reliving 1998. To each his own.

I get that people want to wear their tradition on their sleeves, but this could legitimately be a program shifting win.

It would be a game that people talk about for decades. Beating the No. 1 team, after the worst extended period in program history, with a first year head coach, a roster that sports less than 80 scholarship players, and a year after roughly 40 players bolted for other destinations.

If any game is worthy of storming the field, this would be it.

EDIT: This would also be the first win against one of the Big 3 since 2016. We clamor for a win over one of our Big 3 rivals every year, and to do it this week, against this team...that would be pretty special.
