When was the last time we've had an offense this bad?

If I remember correctly, we did not get a single first down versus Auburn in 1958.
So you are saying there are still records for Pruitt to break....

It's good for him to have a goal.

With the exception of the Dobbs/Bray years the last 12 years have been bad. At least we aren't Vandy.
Not yet anyway. Still, the fact that Vandy is still worse of than UT is our only point of the season to crow about? Just sad to go from being an annual, respected contender in the SECE to battling Vandy for the cellar. Of course, there's still the little matter of a head to head contest. We couldn't lose to a team with something like 50 players and an interim coach could we? Oh and they've got a gal kicking for them. Losing to this years Vandy team would be an all-time low wouldn't it? UT better hope that game isn't rescheduled. Doubt there'd be much left of us after UF and aTm take their pounds of flesh in the coming weeks. This team isn't known for it's mental toughness and resiliency.

I think the real question is when was the last time we had a decent offense to put on the field. The past several years it seems like wash and repeat.

The 1909 offense was pretty bad, though I doubt you would remember. Shut out in every game but the last. In that last game, we managed to put 11 points on the board and got the only win of the season... against Transylvania.
And as they walked off the field they folded their helmets up and put them in their back pockets ... :)

Last year we were 12th in the SEC in total offense, this season we are 12th in the SEC in total offense. You do the math.

Probably never in the modern era. At least as bad as the offense has been the last 4-5 weeks. Our offense has been scoring more for the other team than it's been scoring in the 2nd half over 5 games. That's incredibly bad,
