Just a couple of things to note:

They lost their leader and best offensive player. We were down our leader and best defensive player (Maggit).

Sony had 145. If Chubb is in the game Sony doesn't rush for 145, Chubb likely does. Running the ball wasn't a problem for them tonight.

Our offense put up 38 points on them, as much as Bama did, Chubb going down didn't have anything to do with that.

....... we're the better team. Plain and simple.

Chubb wouldn't have stopped us from scoring either

Sans Maggit doesn't even play as a factor in my book. This is football, not tag.

Really hate to see a great athlete go down, but this is a team sport with a 2 way game. Both teams did what they could with what they had, and Neyland was rocking tonight. You saw everything you wanted to see in a game, regardless of who you root for.

GBO.

Three of TN's DLs and two of TN's starting offensive linemen were injured last night. That was far more difficult to overcome than losing one of three solid running backs.

Yeah like the guy before me said, we were also down 2 starting linmen. 3 total. Kendrick, Robertson, and Crowder. Anyone have an injury updates on them actually?

I would say sorry for your loss. However Chubb didn't play on defense. You guys couldn't stop us. Your offense scored only 17 points, 10 points in the first half and 7 in the beginning of the 3rd quarter. I have no doubt that had Davis made that catch in the fourth quarter with 4 minutes to go, we would have scored and still won. Dobbs played in this game just like he did last year against SC. We had 26 first downs. Good luck with Florida.

I don't think Crowder was injured...did he replace Jashon when he went down or did Wiesman move to LG? In any case Robertson's injury started the dominoes. Coleman Thomas went back to center post injury iirc.

Really disappointed in young Chubb as a player. While his team was battling, he wears a C on his jersey as captain, he sat alone the second half sulking it appeared. Should have been firing his guys up on his crutches, told me a lot about what's up in Athens.

If any GA fan wants to play "ifs and buts" I'd calmly point out that without the two gift TDs (the fumble return and punt return with the picked up flag) and if TN scores from the 4 before the fumble they get boat-raced 45-17.......

This game was like every other game. There were plays on both sides that each team, had they lost, would think....woulda, coulda, shoulda.

This time, Tenneseee was the team that overcame those mistakes and won.

His season is likely over, maybe even his career. Give the dude a break.
