Saban had a 91-42-1 record as a head coach, and 14 years of college HC experience when Alabama hired him.

Pruitt would have to have some serious goodly years, probably including a few wins over Saban, for him to even make it only a list of possible candidates.
Pretty sure everyone but fade knows that, but that's not the question.

If he has Tennessee winning and competing for championships then he gone. But if Tenn is going 8-4 , 7-5 Bama dont even call him
This is what many of us have said from the beginning. The Pruitt hire came wrapped in a paradox. The only reason to hire him is to compete for conference and national championships every season. If he's capable of doing that, Bama will swoop in and take him right back away from us. And if he's not, then what's the point of hiring him in the first place? Temporary happiness is the best we can hope for.
