I hope she stays for many more years, but I wondered about Michelle Marciniak as her successor. Just asking.

no chance! Holly is in line for that job, that is why she has turned down Clemson twice and UCLA.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. Or, so I always thought. I definitely think yes to she names her replacement. But, will it be Holly? I love Holly so don't get me wrong. She has about 25 years invested in UT one way or the other. But, there's only about 3 or 4 years difference in Pat and Holly's ages. Depending on when Pat retires, that could be a factor. Either for Holly or someone else. If Holly doesn't take over, then my money is on Nikki Caldwell or Kellie Harper. I'm starting to think that Pat and Holly might just go out together.

Well, he's the only male coach I know in decades with a National Championship for UT.

Tyler Summit. Can't decide if I'm saying it as a joke or not.

He's said he wants to be a coach someday. If he sticks around and maybe becomes an assistant someday I could see it. Some of what Pat has got has to have rubbed off on him.

If Niki Caldwell continues to improve UCLA, I think it will be her. Pat may coach long enough for those named here to be retired.

Do you all see Michelle in any capacity?

No. She is out of coaching and has started a company with the coach she worked for at SC, Susan Walvius, that manufactures bedding out of Under Armour-type materials.

Talked to her at a game this year and their business has really taken off and she has no plans to get back into college coaching.

Caldwell and Harper would be the obvious frontrunners, depending on where they have their programs in 5-10 years when CPS is ready to hang it up. I don't see her coaching forever like some here do. Of course, if you had asked me 5 years ago, I'd have told you she'd be retired by now, so nobody really knows.

With Pat's personality, I don't see her stepping down until she is not physically able to coach or she stops winning at a high rate. I don't think she would know what to do with her time if she wasn't coaching.

I don't see that happening in my lifetime. What happens after my lifetime, I won't know about.

Kelly Jolly gets my vote. She is now in her second job as HC. Young and successful. I think she would be Pat's choice-----but Pat will coach at least another 5 years.

I think Kelly has the edge right now, too. Both players are doing great things right now in UCLA and NC State.
