Start of the season has been most disappointing in living memory. Even in 88 everyone could feel good things on the horizon and everyone felt confident about that.

It's easy to show up when it's easy. Hard to dismiss the start of the season as anything but damning but this team and these coaches need to show what their true character is. Nothing is easy from here to December.

Impossible to overlook start of Year 2. Team has got to show up when it's hard. I would definitely be fine with Fulmer stepping mid-season and letting cornbread go. If it gets uglier than first two games it has to be done.

Fulmer is not letting Pruitt go mid season or after, even if we go 1-11. People need to stop fantasizing over this ridiculousness.

That is a hard and fast no from me on either Pruitt being fired or Fulmer taking over. Talk about a dumpster fire, that would be a huge one.
I agree with EconVol, Tenn is now a laughing stock and butt too many jokes , Fulmer is close enough where he is he had his time don't need him take wheel...…………...

The worst start in Vol history in my life time. Fans are happy with beating Chatt. Sad day

So seriously fans should be angry about a win? Sad about a win? What?

Worst start in a long time, it sucks, I’m sad & mad, but Tennessee just picked up a win and as a fan I shouldn’t be happy? Not even for a day?

I'm not so sure. I thought we had finally hit bottom and were on the rise then GA St and BYU happened. This fanbase may discover the secrets of antimatter so they can burn mattresses hotter and faster when the losses mount. I can't see a way for us to be competitive in the SEC right now -- with anyone.

Fulmer needs to cut him after Bama if there are no more wins and stabilize the ship. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a 2 - 3 year caretaker position and fix UTAD root and branch.

Vol fans are hoping that the Vols are not as Bad as the Media portrays them to be, but will Florida prove them right?

Coach Majors first season as head coach of the Vols was 1977. 11 years later (my senior year of high school lol) he started the season 0-6. I will say again really glad he was not fired. Very next season went 10-1.

You think firing Pruitt after Bama is “stabilizing the ship”? It’s more like torpedoing the ship with a nuclear warhead.

It will not happen this year no matter how bad the record gets. Pruitt will have an opportunity to at least start the rhrid year of his contract.

The truth is we should be 3-0 but aren’t, BYU was apparently better than we thought and we choked that game away with a major breakdown at the end on that pass. The Ga. St game I cannot explain at all clearly I don’t think we are really that bad as we were that day but it was embarrassing all the way around and we got dominated looked passive and soft on opening day doesn’t make sense. We get a fresh start this Saturday do I think we will win? No but I think it will be closer than last year. The thing that really sucks is we gave away two money wins at home we have no margin for error the rest of the way and we haven’t started the SEC gauntlet yet and in the last 10 years we have posted exactly one winning record in conference play. A worse record than last year looks likely and that’s not what we hoped for in Pruitts second season.
