When is Meach's Press release.

Any new news? I have been looking to see if he had signed with an agent, but have not found anything.

Word on the street is that he was out past 3am the night before the bowl game. I don't see that as something he'd do if there was any doubt he's leaving. It's also rumored that Phil knew this prior to the game. Source said they'd be talking about this at some point this week on radio as well. I didn't see it with my eyes, but I certainly find it possible.

I would imagine his announcement will come sometime soon. Still, I'd like to hear it for sure.

(I'm out of the loop lately, so maybe this has already been discussed, dispelled, etc. I was just talking with someone that is really into football about some of the things going on and figured I'd pass it along. My apologies if this is just complete bs.)

Today's KNS front page sports section says he is the only vol to declare early for the draft.

Robert Meachem appears to be the Vols' only early entry.

He was the only Vol named on a list of players coming out early published by the Associated Press on Monday.

All third-year players were required to notify the NFL of their intentions by Monday, however players have until Saturday to remove their names from consideration and return to school provided they have not signed with an agent.

I don't know what the hold up is. We all know he is NFL bound. (I got over 20k and didn't even notice)

Hadn't heard that before. Anybody know of validity? If there's truth in it, then "good riddance." If not, I wouldn't smear his name -- that's a pretty unforgivable act the night before an 11 AM kickoff.

What in the world would a young man do on Hiillsborough Avenue in Tampa at 3 AM, anyway? :whistling:

all the projections in the world dont mean jack until the combine. If Meach comes in and runs a 4.8 he'll wish he had stayed in school. All that being said, I think he'll be fine. I think he goes in the 1st round because he's the type of big strong wr that the NFL covets, he can break tackles, making something happen after the catch, and he seems to be a person of faith with good character.

to be honest, we're very lucky hefney didn't go pro: he is a stud. He'll help those incoming DB's get better faster as well.

His walk off the field at the Outback bowl while getting intsruction was a little disrespectful. If your coach is giving you his piece of mind after you mess up, give him the respect of at least acting like you are listening. That is all.

That wasn't Hefney. One player kept going, and we all thought it was Hefney. However, the next player on screen was Hefney, and he stopped.

Ohh well I am wrong and I apoligize to hefney and all his fans. I thought this as well as half the media in town. I am wrong and I have misled those who have read this thread. May I be shunned for my insolence. My bad.
