Thanks for the reminder but hell will freeze over before he gets 8 wins this season

Well, if somehow he beats USCjr then I could see us winning out versus Wyoming,Vandy, and UK.

And then if he beats a WAC team in the (hold your noses) Liberty Bowl, its extension city.

If phil returns next year we may as well join the WAC. Then we could become boise st's bitch.

Trying not to let emotions get involved to make the decision of CPF's Future, when is it over.

Listening to MH about changes made on emotions versus the body of work sounds like they are not going to pull the plug on him.

Looking at the state of the program. The talent is there but the Coaching is not. The coaching degrades every season.

Realistically, when do you think we pull the plug on CPF. I can live with knowing that change is coming but I do not want to have any more high expectations to be let down. I am a die hard fan but it's kinda like a divorce
when you know its over but you linger on and on in the relationship. You still love the woman but you cannot live with the pain of it.

0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5+ years more of this. This is not about the relationship it is about the kids.

Frankly, I do not see CPF fixing this and MH should look at him and say "Honey, I love you and we had good times but it is over"

So When is it finally over?

Has to win 8 games in the regular season does not include the bowl game.

I personally believe it is over now. The fat lady has warmed up her pipes and is making her way to the stage. It is just a matter of time before the announcement is made.

It has to be over. If they don't get rid of him after this year, then you might as well pick up another hobby. Afterall, three or four losses into next year and no one will be at the games except the opposing team's fans. If the football program is indeed their cash cow. Then they need to stop biting the hand that feeds them. Keeping phil around would be effectively cutting their own throats.

I am thinking the same thing. I do not think CPF will resign and I do not think that MH has the "balls" to fire him. This program is in desperate need of a B12 shot.

I think it's over today or tomorrow.

I think that either Phil uses his Coach fulmer show today to announce his retirement or calls a press conference to state he's retireing or Monday Morning MH does what he's ordered to do and fires him.

I predict by Tuesday we'll be seeking a new coach.

He actually can't. Contract stipulates that the 8 wins must be regular season. Winning an 8th game in a bowl does not get him an extension

I don't think Hamilton really has a choice now. I was at a bar full of Vol fans watching the game last night. After the game there were a lot of them saying "I just don't care anymore." That's apathy and UT's worse nightmare. It's like a disease that spreads quickly, Imagine Neyland with only 50,000 fans showing up for a game. That's also bankruptcy.

2 games left at UT. One HC which will draw a crowd and the other is KY which will draw a crowd. I do not see the numbers game taking affect until next year. Will start high because of the expectations and will slowly decrease as the season progress.

This Coaching staff is Bait and Switch.
