When does Rivals update their rankings?

Nothing in person. Just saw his televised game where he threw 5td's I believe it was in one quarter, his highlights, etc. That plus his offer list, his ridiculous stats, his size, accuracy, etc...makes me think him not being a 4star is crazy. That's all. I don't think you're crazy and I respect your opinion but it's absurd if he's not a 4star before NSD IMO. However, I don't really care all that much if he gets a 4th star or not, I'm just glad he's going to be a VOL :)

Personally...I can understand the knocks people cite as reasons for him not being a 4*...but the thing is he keeps putting up these ridiculous stats against very good competition despite these flaws...

I mean...his first game of the season he lit up with the #1 overall player...a guy some are saying is the best to come along at his position in a long time...in his face the whole game

Last part about you not caring about him being a 4* or not is spot on. Star rankings don't mean much IMO.

My knock on him is arm strength as I'm sure youve guys have heard a morn...also his offer list isn't that great. UT was his best commitable offer IMO.

Game i believe your referring to is against South Pointe....it was a tale of two halfs. The first half we was awful and I mean really bad...the third quarter he turned it on. He had a few bad passes that you can get away with in HS but he also had one TD pass that couldn't have been thrown any better....will be interesting to see how he turns out.

The thing about the velocity of his passes (or lack thereof) is that alot of that stems from bad mechanics...he drops his arm when he throws (almost like he's throwing a baseball) and his footwork is all over the place sometimes...

I think with some good tuteledge(sp) and a good S & C program he can really improve that aspect of his game...

I still don't see Rivals giving him the 4th star...I see him ending up a 5.7 3 star

IMO, Worley should but he wont. Rivals thinks he is a product of his high school system. He has been putting up crazy stats for 2 years now & still didnt get a 4th star.

Randolph should get a 4th star & if he doesnt Rivals is a joke!!

Tom Smith
Kyler Kerbyson
Alan Posey
Vincent Dallas
Justin Coleman
Jordan Williams

All those will be in real consideration for a 4th star.
Randolph, Smith, and Kerbyson should all get bumped up to a 4th star. Worley won't go up to a 4th but may get bumped up to a high three star.

A lot of the teams ahead and behind us will also have recruits that get bumped up though. I doubt it will matter a whole lot unless we get several people with significant increases. This will all be about how we close and I think fans will be happy because of the amount of great recruits we are in on now. Dooley will close strong with recruits' families.

you cant just put a kid on a S & C program and expect him to turn his noodle arm into a rocket...

arm strength, like speed, is hard to teach.

you either have it or you dont.

If they are using proper mechanics to start with. Worley is never going to have a cannon arm but he will be fine with S&C and some work on his lower body mechanics.

This is all true...but I didn't say arm strength...I said the velocity of his passes

The velocity of his passes can improve dramatically if he corrects his mechanics...in particular his footwork...that way when he throws the ball it's not an "all arm" kind of throw...

And a good S&C program might not give him a John Elway arm but it's very unlikely it won't improve his arm strength to some degree...

Put those two things together and you've pretty much eliminated the only knock against Worley
