When does Rivals update their rankings?

Does Rivals update constantly throughout the season, or is there a set date that they'll release updated evaluations based on the season's progress?

It will be sometime after the season, closer to the all star games and national signing day.

Do it yourself Rivals update kit. Change all UT recruits from 3* to 4* as that will happen. Change no other teams. Recalculate. Now you have it.

And...wahhh lahhhh....they are all better players as well as persons once they get that additional star. :), but only if it's a Rivals ranking.

How many combined 4 and 5 star players do they (Rivals) have currently?

How many do they usually have during after the final rankings come out?

I posted this question on the Rivals "Main Board"...it's their main message board...

One of the mods there said they would update sometime in early November and then again sometime after the all star games...but that post-all star game update will come closer to NSD than it did last year

They are going to add more 4 and 5 stars. Rivals is lower on 5 stars esp. There are bout 300 four stars and 25ish five stars.

IIRC they usually update them right before December, then they update them again after all the All Star games, then they update them again after NSD.

Is anybody committed to us right now looking to move up a star? I think Worley should be intitled for a 4th star and at least ranked among the qbs...

IMO, Worley should but he wont. Rivals thinks he is a product of his high school system. He has been putting up crazy stats for 2 years now & still didnt get a 4th star.

Randolph should get a 4th star & if he doesnt Rivals is a joke!!

Tom Smith
Kyler Kerbyson
Alan Posey
Vincent Dallas
Justin Coleman
Jordan Williams

All those will be in real consideration for a 4th star.

I really believe Randolph and Kerbyson will get the bump...Randolph at the next update and Kerbyson at the update just before NSD (I think he'll have a good showing at an All Star game that pushes him over the top)...

Other than that I just don't see Rivals bumping anyone up a star...

I think some of our 5.6's and even a 5.5 or two will get the 5.7 3 star....but for some reason they've decided to cut down on the total number of 4's and 5's this year...not because the quality is lower this year...just because they've decided to...it's like some kind of power trip thing

Worley shouldn't be a 4*IMO.

Randolph should and Tom Smith should get consideration.

Kerbyson?

Keep in mind that unless some bad things happen for us with our OT's he will play OG here....so Rivals projecting him as an OT is wrong..

If they were to wise up to this do you think they'd bump him?

No idea...they project where they think he fits best not where he will play in college.

So they could know he's going to play a certain position in college but still project him somewhere else because that's what they think...interesting...sounds pretty arrogant and stubborn to me

But as far as the original question...what I mean is do you think...based on the criteria Rivals uses to project OG's...that Kerbyson fits the 4* designation for that position?

Nothing in person. Just saw his televised game where he threw 5td's I believe it was in one quarter, his highlights, etc. That plus his offer list, his ridiculous stats, his size, accuracy, etc...makes me think him not being a 4star is crazy. That's all. I don't think you're crazy and I respect your opinion but it's absurd if he's not a 4star before NSD IMO. However, I don't really care all that much if he gets a 4th star or not, I'm just glad he's going to be a VOL :)
