If this makes sense, it was during the Florida-Georgia game in 1982. I was at that game and I think it was that day I finally understood what it was to be a student at an SEC school. And while always at heart a Gator through and through, I made some room that day for Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Arky, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, MSU, Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky.

I could say at birth but that is not realistic. It was actually in 1951 at age ten. I began to listen to the Vols on radio with George Mooney and Bob Foxx. I was an avid fan by 1952. It would probably have been earlier but we didn't have a radio until 1951.

With pleasure.

I became a vol and a fan at the same time. It was the first time I stepped onto the field at Neyland stadium as a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band to march the pregame show for the Texas Tech game in 1997. As y'all know, we won the SEC championship that year and it was Peyton's last year.
Losing to FL hurt that year, but it made it that much sweeter in 98 to beat the gators and go on to win the NC. 2 great years to be a part of UT history!

I was born into the Vol family. My father has always loved Tenn. I still to this day watch every football game with him.(Its still a tradition. Alot of great and sad moments with him watching the games.)

When me and the other cherubs were playing on the street of gold and the Almighty drove by in his SUV, I openly admired the power T on his trailer hitch.

His Face lit up with an awesome smile and boomed "I have a deal for you!"

In the summer of 1990, when i was 7, my family was driving from Richmond to Nashville to visit family. I saw the stadium and made my mom stop. It seeled the deal when they let us on the field and in the locker room. My blood has run orange ever since!
