When Butch led the band

And you don't think Jimbob Teeth Duggar at Florida hasn't seen that and won't be showing that to his team as motivation for next year?

Again - no one can answer this - has any other coach ever led their band at home while a favorite when you won your first conference game of the year?

Butch had the "never been there, never done that before" thing going on and instead of acting like he expected to win and on to the next opponent. There were greater goals to accomplish he decided to act like this was the end goal. If he's doing that in December or January - no problem with it. September? Champions of Life worthy.

Again - let me have it, I'm ready.

Who gives a rat's ass?

Unlike you, I was there and it was a monumental win for the team after 11 straight losses. To start a thread 2 months later to complain about leading the band, of all things, is petty and childish.

Nobody wanted to leave. It was a fantastic moment as a fan.

After beating Florida, Butch led the band in playing Rocky Top. I was not at the game but watched on TV as the CBS feed showed it all. I looked at my daughter while watching and said "he thinks he won the national championship." I was embarrassed that our HEAD COACH would do something like that when we were expected to win. And several friends and co-workers from other schools like OSU, FSU, Auburn etc gave me hell about it and said it made us look small. I defended Butch with the whole thing about how big the Florida win was.

No problem with Dobbs doing that, or Barnett, or whatever other player wants to. But the HEAD COACH??? Show me one other time a head coach at a ranked school did what Butch did in a game that early in the season. I get it if you're Kentucky and beat #1 Alabama, but beat Florida was only a stepping stone this year, not the end game. But he thought the monkey was off his and program's back and he was a champion.

I think after beating Florida they got complacent, thought they were all that and a bag of chips. And the UGA hail mary, as great as it was, solidified the complacency.

Fire away!

He was a band guy, right?:)
