What's Your Favorite Big Hit By A Vol Player?

Berry's hit was better than JJ's. What was so great about Berry killing Moreno is that Moreno saw it coming and still got destroyed. A lot of big hits the offensive players are catching a football or off balance. Moreno saw Berry coming and rather than getting down or trying to dodge he put a half-hearted effort into lowering his shoulder and BOOM!!! Love it.

That one and the one he put on the Bama power. Wanting to say it was Maze but I'm too lazy to look it up.He knocked him back a good 3 yards while twirling in the air.

Last year when Stocker ran over a dude from Kenucky. There's nothing better than hearing the entire stadium say BOOM when they show the replay!

Billy Majors vs. Billy Cannon, Homecoming, 1959. I was there.

220 lb. Heisman Trophy Winner Billy Cannon broke loose and was running full bore when he decided to run over 160 lb. safety, Billy Majors. Majors met him head on in a 'major' collision and stopped him cold with a lick that could be heard throughout Neyland Stadium, but Majors' bell was rung.

In those days, concussions didn't count unless you couldn't accurately count 3 fingers on the coach's hand, so Majors returned to the game.

Later, Majors, Charlie Severance, and Wayne Grubb combined to make UT history with "The Stop", preventing Cannon from scoring a 2 pt. conversion and leading to the VOLS win over #1 ranked LSU, 14-13.

Billy and I were buddies and double dated that night after the game. He had no memory of the second half after that head on collision with Cannon. :)

Eddie Moore's hit on Florida's Kelvin Kight was nasty as well. Can't find image or video though

Not my favorite...none of them are...but the most memorable in my opinion was Eddie Moore knocking out Kelvin Kight, who somehow managed to hang on to the ball while unconscious.

The JJ hit in BJames gets mentioned quite a bit, but if you watch the replay JJ almost knocked himself out. It was a great hit no doubt, but JJ got up woozy and needed a little guidance from teammates to get back to the sideline. BJames was pissed he couldn't hang on to the pass, and he took all sorts of grief from teammates on the sideline.
