maybe if he would show disappointment and get fired up things would change. wait we are talking about Phil Fulmer, just clap and say good job when its not.:clapping:

He lost this team a long time ago. There are reports that the O-line coach never bought into Clawson's system, the players as well. This season was a disaster before it even started.

The team has quit. They will not play for Fulmer anymore. Time to change now. We could still be bowl eligible if TENN AD makes a move. Even with no offense, final 3 games are winnable.

Emotion or fire out of phil is just not his style. Its always been business like. It was before he got there. I guess these kids today don't respond well unless you're a prick.

With all the talk about the O lineman switching sides of the line on different plays and how hard it was for them to do that, I was wondering if there might be some division there. If so, it would be a problem simular to the one Auburn faced with Franklin. It would furthur explain things we see going on with this team especially the offense. Defenses are running right through our O line. Sometimes, it looks almost intentional.

There is only one way I care if we get a bowl bid this year. That is if we already have a new head coach onboard and it would give him some time with the team to evaluate talent for next year. Otherwise I think a bowl game this year would be a waste. Anyway, I do not think we will be bowl eligible.

I took the comment the OP is questioning to mean he didn't want to encourage the players to have a defeatist attitude. It wouldn't serve them to give up, even if the rest of us have.

I think instead of clapping he needs to start fipping them off and grabbing his crotch.
