Does anyone have any information? Is he on campus and attending classes at Tennessee? Going to junior college in Knoxville?

I think you are mistaken about seeing him at practices. That would be against NCAA regulations.

I wish it was that simple. UTK has to accept him. I think that is a hurdle that will have to be crossed first.

He has to get in enough credit hours at PSTCC and then transfer to UT. The main question is when he will be on scholly. This coming spring, summer, or next fall. He will likely play in 08, though.

I've read here that he would only have one year of elgibility. Is that still the case.

There were a ton of articles from all the sites saying he was at I think the very first scrimmage.

But I know hes been there, he may not be a guest of the team officially but hes been there observing.

Ummm, no. He will have at least 2, maybe 3 if this counts as a redshirt year.

Can't be 3; cause he lost a year of elgibility when he broke his contract with FSU by bolting in the middle of the semester without finishing the academic year.

Ya, this can't be a redshirt year. Unless he wins some sort of ruling from the NCAA, he will end up with only 1 year left. He basically dropped out of FSU, after all. College athletes can't just drop out of school and go somewhere else.

Seriously, I think there was a thread on here a few weeks ago that said it WASN'T Brandon Warren at the practices. And if it was, it would be an NCAA violation. He's still a member of the FSU team as far as they are concerned. But regardless, I am going to shut up about it because I should if I am wrong, and especially if I am right. :hi:

I'm pretty sure he'll have 1 year of eligibility if he can ever get into a UT uniform. There's about 10% chance that'll ever happen because so many stars have to align in order for it to be a possibility.

*edit, could he actually redshirt 1 year once he's on scholarship, and then play as a redshirt senior his last year at UT?

I thought he'd atleast have 2.

Let's see, he was a true freshman last year. 5 to play 4.
Finished that year up. 4 to play 3.
Bolting gets him a 1 year penalty I think? 3 to play 2.
Beginning of next season shouldn't he have 3 to play 2?

Nailed it! AND If the NCAA approves his appeal he will have 3 to play 3 starting next fall.
