What's our most impressive win so far this season?

Not so much downplaying it but when we've been told all offseason how this team was a playoff contending team and we have to get a lucky fumble to beat Appy St, don't put Ohio away until late in the 4th quarter and have been behind by double digits every game (including losing by 39 to Bama who some people mindbottlingly think we will beat in a rematch) I tend to think we have been badly prepared to compete by our coaches.

So we give back our '98 Natty because of Stoerner's fumble?

Almost everyone downplayed the win over VT. It turns out that VT has a pretty good football team and would likely beat Florida. I think both wins rank at the top of the victories this year with Georgia being third. Clearly, if we had beaten A&M, it would head the list.

Can't really think of one unless you count #12 UF but then that goes against the notion of them being severely overrated.

Just haven't been that impressive this year and that was even before the injuries.

Translation

"On a fansite, I read - WGWTFA , WOOOOO! We're #1
So now I'm gonna snub the team/coaches because I was special enough to take blogs and message boards literally"

I support Butch, but will agree that this team looks like his worst coached team thus far. However, this does not mean that there are no "good" wins. I agree with the poster above that VTech, Georgia and Florida are all good wins.

I'll have to disagree with the part about being the worst coached team so far. While I've wanted to pull my hair out at the start of games this year, I would argue that a team that's overcome 4 double digit defects is better coached than a team that blew 4 double digit leads.

That's why I don't put alot of stock in what were told. The reality is that there are 7 teams in the SEC that are on equal footing. Then you have Alabama which is light years ahead of everybody.

So Bigun, Georgia on the road, Florida 1st time in 11 yrs or Va Tech in the most attended game in College history not good enough for you? Hell a loss in double OT to A&M on the road was impressive especially since I predicted at the beginning of the season we would lose that game!

1. Georgia sucks
2. Florida was extremely enjoyable and necessary. But this should have been his third straight win over Florida, not his first. Still very enjoyable, but he just did something that should have happened multiple times by now.
3. The task wasn't more difficult because we played in a weird location. VT is doing better than expected, but let's not pretend this was a Herculean accomplishment.

Tennessee is way further along in the rebuild than those teams are. We still have a chance to win he SEC, which would be incredible and force me to eat a bunch of crow about Butch, but I'm not pretending to be in awe of his performance so far.

Florida, then VaTech then Georgia IMO. The other two weren't impressive in anyway, but the other 3 very much were, in that order IMO.

We will have to agree to disagree. That team last year lacked in ability and experience when compared to this team. Yet, I do not recall last year's team having anywhere near the number of repeated breakdowns that we have seen this year.

Plus, other than Georgia last year (which was a win), I don't recall that team ever trailing by a large margin. It was a solid squad.

We were lucky in the wins and had bad luck for the two losses. If the breaks would have went our way against A&M and bama we would have drummed A&M and dystroyed bama.

That beat down of Oklahoma, the Big 12 Champ, in the 2017 Sugar Bowl is a pretty impressive win!~

the fact you think that mindbottlingly is an actual word says all that needs to be said about you and your perspective. My mind is boggled by people like yourself.. I would bet my next paycheck I know who you are voting for that is a guy who's bottled mind would be an illegal drug.

It's a movie reference. Relax
