Whatever happened to James Banks?

Hello,

I'm hoping some or all of you can compile some information on a former football player that use to play for the Vols football team a few years ago.

His name is James Bank, who played QB/WR.

Some information that i'm looking for is the following



1) Why did he get removed from the team?

2) How would you compare him to the greatest Tennessee wide receivers in regards to his experience, and potential?

3) Where is James now?



Can anyone also pass on some videos of him playing for the Vols?

1. Got kicked off after the 2004 season due to being a pothead.

2.The guy had enormous potential. I'm not going to say he was on his way to being one of the best receivers of all time for UT, but he was definitely a valuable asset for the vols.

3. Last I heard, he was having off the field problems(driving under the influence,) which led to him being dismissed from Carson Newman's football team, which is where he went after he got the boot from Fulmer. From my understanding, he has requested to rejoin the vols multiple times but he has been denied both by Fulmer and Hamilton.

Now works for a TGI Friday's, but will forever be remembered for the Hail Mary catch

that was a great play...James' first year as a receiver, and he was one-on-one with Dunta Robinson, who became a first round pick after that season. James was a natural no matter where he was on the football field...before he got kicked off the team, he was even getting some work in at safety.

Slick Rick says it is still unfortunate what happened to James Banks. It is a sad day to see kids with unlimited potential throw it all away because of drugs and alcohol abuse. James Banks COULD have been a first round draft choice. The only thing he is first on now is arrests.

James is now head cook at the Waffle House, where he can scatter, smother, and cover them like nobody's business.
