back to game locations once things get back to normal? Whether it be football or basketball, I can tell little to no difference in quality of a broadcast between the two. Seems like it is an obvious way for nets to save money. Thoughts?
I see a huge difference in quality. They aren’t privy to info from the refs and they miss a lot of the action when I watch. I think it will be a no brainer to send them back.

Broadcasters normally miss action talking other BS whether they’re onsite or not—with Vitale being the worst offender. You are right about conferring with refs in basketball, but that’s about it IMO.

I think they'll be back. Broadcasters feed off the energy just like players do and it impacts the product. They talk over each other a lot when broadcasting remotely as well.
Vitale misses stuff and talks about everything other than the game when he's sitting right there though.
