1. Bama's defense is something to be feared on both sides of the game. They get in there and cause confusion. Probably the best hope is to have a huge hole for the QB to scramble through.

2. Bama's passing game looks like it is strugling to pull something together, but it makes up for it with the running game. looks like a job for the secondary. (that's Berry!) Watch out for #22, Mark Ingram.

3.Bama's still worshiping the Bear in that stupid houndtooth design crap.

4. Our offensive line has a job to do against a very stout defensive line. (the biggest one being 350+)

5. If Crompton can keep his head with the passing game, we might open up some holes. SC finally managed to do this in the 4th quarter once they quit going backwards 1st.

6. NO PENALTIES. EVERY ONE IS CRUCIAL.

7. Turnovers and penalties seemed to be the problem with Bama. (but really SC)

8. As in one of Neyland's maxims: Always emphasise special teams! Don't give them good field position!

9. When Nick Saban isn't coaching football, he is the owner of the famous restraunt "Rama Jama"

Any more or thoughts on this?

Stop the run!!!! Make McElroy pass the ball. Even if he has a better day, it's still better than Ingram averaging 8 yards a carry.

Crompton needs to minimize mistakes. I don't think rolling out is going to work on Alabama. I think they are too fast for it. He's going to have to make good passes down the field.

I think that this is going to be a very low scoring game. Hopefully not like the 2005 game, but not too far off.

In short, we must play near perfect versus Bama to just be in the game(and we have more than a realistic shot to beat SC).

We'll stack the box and dare them to throw. Gotta stop ingram at the line of scrimage. Dline and linebackers need to play lights out and swarm to the football.

JC needs to match his performance last week as well as the receivers catching the ball.

Firts I am not worried about our defense stopping their offense. We have held our losses withing 10 points or less without a passing game. If Crompton is on then we need to run Cody's 350+ pounds around the field (move the pocket like we did against Georgia) and shave about 50 lbs off Cody. We do need to watch our special teams and not let them get good field position with that. Penalties we have been good on. I believe if our passing game is one then Bama won't be No. 1 after next week.

One other thing i noticed and not just in this game, bama starts strong like bull but kinda fizzles out the 2nd half. Im beginning to think they have some out of shape starters and are not as deep as everyone might believe. I say if and this is a big "if " we are within 10 points at halftime, we win.

I say we come out and punch them in the mouth and make some sort of statement we will have a shot...

One thing too: the most accepted hypothesis to defeat Monte's tampa 2 is to run right at 'em early and often....this is in(apparently) Bama's favor.

However, CMK has had two weeks to scheme Saban's O...THIS is in UT's favor.

Advantage: even.

This game is going to either be really close or it will be a blowout...I just don't see an in between.

McKelboy is waaayyy overrated, not very impressed with him last nite, we need to stack the box and force him to beat us with his arm

I trust Monte to be able to keep Bama's point total low, but I'm still not seeing how we're going to put up enough points to be really in it.

On the other hand, maybe playing in the house of the number one team in the land is old hat to our guys by now, and they're ready to get it done this time.

This game will be the biggest test for Bama so far. Reason being is the defense that Tennessee is the best total defense that Alabama has faced this season according to the NCAA rankings.

As far as defensive rankings go, Ole Miss is the highest ranked defense that Bama has played.

This game will come down to which offense can break the other defense. IMHO this game may very well come down to special teams play and who can create scoring chances on defense.

Any team can beat any other team on Saturdays. This game will not be a blowout by either team and may very well come down to who has the ball at the end of the game.

Put it on the kickers leg. :eek:hmy:

Bama's D can stay on the field longer than UTs, and have gas at the end. Our O has to find a way to hold on to the ball, even when we don't get points. We are good enough to hang, but it will take the execution we got in the UGA game to do it.

You realize that you ripped Bama for acknowleding the Bear and then quoted Neyland, don't you?

what game has bama played that shows they can stay on the field longer just wondering they have not had a close game yet ingram has done it all

What did I learn? I learned that if Cromp plays like he did against GA and Monte does his usual we will win.

Did you read anything past the first 5 words of my post?

They can stay on the field longer than UTs D can, because they have more depth than we do. Thats not hard to understand. At least, I didn't think it was.
