Here's a list, off the top of my head, of the things we learned and/or were reiterated today against USCe.

Offense:

1. Our offensive line is absolutely filthy. A combination of talent, sheer size, a lot of playing experience, and improved coaching by Sam Pittman has turned our line into one of the best in the SEC. Clowney looked like a typical SEC defensive end for the most part today.

2. Zach Rogers is the new Denarius Moore. He's been perhaps the single most dogged non-quarterback in recent memory, somewhat deservedly, but now everything has finally fallen in place for number 83. He's always had the talent/speed and route running skills, and whether it was coaching or senior year magic, he's finally managed to clean all the butter off his fingers. Don't look now, but Z-Ro may be our most reliable receiver. He also may end up playing on Sunday next year.

3. If you think CP is good now, wait 'til next year. CP may be the most explosive player with the ball in his hands in the country. Frankly, though, his route running skills make it like starting a true freshman. Once he has an offseason to learn the playbook, look out.

4. There's a very, very good quarterback somewhere deep within Tyler Bray. Bray has a lot of talent, and when he's good, he's really good. Unfortunately, he also has a propensity for imploding. If the real Tyler Bray ever stands up and remains standing, he'll be the best QB in the country. Of course, he only has one more season to do so.

Defense:

1. Big Dan is for real. People don't run between the tackles on us. When we keep contain, they don't run very much on us period. That fact is due largely to 98 plugging the middle.

2. Losing Brian Randolph was a big deal. That's really all I care to say.

3. Herman Lathers is a warrior. Both on and off the field. He was a big reason we had a chance to win. He's best when he's blitzing, IMO.

Special Teams:

1. CP gets us yards even when he doesn't make the return. Channing Fugate returning it to the 35 beats a touchback.

If anybody has something to add, feel free. Please keep the sarcasm and cynicism to a minimum.

1. Our Defense is terrible.

2. 3rd down and short is the automatic homerun ball call on offense

3. I will not miss Dooley, Chaney, or Suckseri

Didn't learn anything about the defense, kicking game, or coaching staff that we weren't already infinitely aware of.

Because there's another gear that UT doesn't get to. Watch Bama. Even the slightest mistake has Saban wound up. That team strives for perfection. UT hasn't found that gear.

Zach Rogers is the best WR on the team. Not the best athlete but bust WR.

he plays with a chip on his shoulder and everybody made jokes or had doubts about him, including myself. He has my respect AND he has a shot to make a team in the NFL. I hope to see him play on sunday's.

I cannot believe I just said that about Zack, but it's true and I'm proud of him.

Did you hear what Brian Griese said on the 4th down? He circled ZR and said he would go to him. Bray did. 1st down.

Maggitt would have been monster this year, but with his injury, he is just able to play.

I'd also like to point out that despite some untimely turnovers against UGA, MSSt, and now USC our team has quite a bit of fight in them this year. It makes them really easy to root for even when they keep losing at the end.

Not saying much, but we're the best 3-5 team in the country by a mile.

We also learned our players aren't quitters, unlike some of our "fans'"

I see coaches like Saban,Miles,Muschamp getting on players when they mess up. I never see Dooley or these coaches doing that. But this week Dooley did call Hunter and Bray out and they played better than i have seen them play in awhile.

Fact is that our offensive line coach and the addition of a RB coach has helped tremendously. Those two coaches have provided the most value to the team and it shows.

Think of our offense without the superior pass coverage and without opening the holes for the run game. It's a scary thought.

We don't have the best RB's in the country but they are getting it done on the ground bc of excellent coaching and those players are putting in the work to make it happen. Yet still ...coaching is making an impact in the line and run game.

Then consider our talented wide receivers. There is no doubting them. Hunter is getting a little better, Zach Rodgers is incredible, and Patterson, if he stays, is heisman material. There have been some dropped passes...but few and really nothing that has cost us the game overall.

Now Bray...from his first start till now has not grown to the level that he SHOULD be playing. Great arm, great release, poor judgment, no mobility, and lack of poise.

Maturity SHOULD be paying off by now and you should see that reflected in his checking off receivers, being patient, and keeping his poise. However we are over half way through the season and Bray is not there. I think the kid has the tools but not the coaching. Here is one area where
I question what value Chaney has brought to the team. Sure Chaney coached a young Drew Brees but you can't keep hanging your hat on that fact especially when you have a more talented (unrealized talent but the talent is there) Bray in your house under performing. I'm not sold on Chaney's understanding of X's and O's either or his play calling.

We will have a lot more people bloom like Zach when these guys get to their Senior year. This is the first year in a while that we have been able to redshirt a large amount of talent.

Teams Like Bama and Florida play Freshmen , but have a lot of 4th and 5th year guys anchoring their teams.
