A lot of Vols fans I know don't like him. I guess because he doesn't drink the Kool aid and calls things the way he see's them. It gets people fired up!

It's more that he's a frontrunner and will attach himself to whatever is successful. He was hanging all over Dooley after the Cincy game in 2011 and after the Georgia game had completely turned against him. Then he acted like he knew all along Dooley wasn't a good hire.

He's really quiet about Butch Jones, I imagine, because he's waiting to see whether Jones will fail or not. Then Clay will pretend that he was out in front all along and knew it would turn out this way.

He can be pretty funny at times, though.

He's also a huge UT fan. Don't let his on the air schtick fool you. He and Brent on 3HL are both UT fans. Clay even tweeted a picture of himself on the edge of his seat during the end of the UGA game.

He's a smart aleck preppy who thought he wanted to be a lawyer, was smart enough to get a top notch education at Vandy and GWU law school. Didn't like practicing law and has figured out how to make a good living writing and talking about sports in general and SEC sports specifically. More power to him.

Don't like his radio show that much but his book Dixie Land Delight is hilarious and his website has some funny articles. I did enjoy his top 10 Dumbest Fan bases. Even the one about Tennessee.

He says whatever will get people to call in..... He has no alligence to any team.

U.T. already has radio talk show air time, but rather than compete with other U.T. themed radio shows, he tries to appeal to the Vandy fans and get them involved....

Then don't listen.

This may come as a shock to a hand full of people, but not eveyone likes or cares about UT sports. That's why real fans have to stick together. We are in this by ourselves. Believe it folks. NO ONE outside life long UT fans gives a second thought to us right now. We are not relevant and have not been for years. However, we have Butch and things are going to get better. Will we get back on top? Don't know. That is a tall hill to climb.

We have to be patient.

Go Vols.

There's no way he's a UT fan. Brent yes, Clay hell no. He's a Vandy Law School grad for crying out loud. Takes shots at UT even when no opportunity exist. I don't care how many pics he posts of himself in Neyland. Big time James Franklin loving Vandy homer.
